Motorola has launched the G77 Power in India with a focus on camera performance, battery life, and durability in the sub-Rs. 25,000 segment. The smartphone will go on sale from July 13 via Flipkart, Motorola India, and leading retail stores at an effective launch price of Rs. 23,999 for the lone 8GB + 128GB variant.
Motorola G77 Power Specifications And Features
Motorola is positioning the G77 Power as the "segment's leading camera phone" with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 primary sensor featuring Quad Pixel technology for improved low-light photography. The rear setup is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view and a dedicated 2-in-1 light sensor that combines ambient light sensing with flicker detection for quicker autofocus.
Camera software features include Portrait Mode, Auto Smile Capture, Frame Match, Super Zoom, and Google Photos AI editing tools such as Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Auto Frame, Reimagine, and Edit Photos by Asking. The phone also houses a 32MP front camera, which Motorola claims is the highest-resolution selfie camera in its segment. It automatically switches to Group Mode in landscape orientation for wider selfies.
The G77 Power sports a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,050 nits of High Brightness Mode. Motorola has also included Display Color Boost technology and Smart Water Touch, which adjusts touch sensitivity when the screen is wet. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and wired Hi-Res Audio support round out the multimedia package.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor built on a 6nm process. It is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, expandable virtually up to 24GB using RAM Boost, and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. The phone ships with Android 16 and Motorola has promised one Android OS upgrade along with three years of security updates. It also includes Google Gemini, Circle to Search, Smart Connect, and Motorola's Hello UX software experience.
Motorola has equipped the G77 Power with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, SGS-certified MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability, and an IP64-rated water-repellent design for resistance against dust, splashes, and accidental spills. The device is available in Pantone-curated Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red, and Impenetrable finishes colour variant.
Price, Availability, and Launch Offers
The Motorola G77 Power will be available in a single 8GB + 128GB configuration at an effective launch price of Rs. 23,999 starting July 13 through Flipkart, Motorola India, and offline retail stores. Buyers using a Jio SIM can also avail an OTT Pass with access to 15 premium apps for Rs. 200 per month, with Motorola stating the offer is worth Rs. 1,500.
Motorola is taking a different route with the G77 Power by prioritising camera quality, battery endurance, and durability instead of chasing benchmark numbers. The inclusion of Sony's LYTIA 600 sensor, a 32MP selfie camera, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and a 7,000mAh battery gives it a distinct identity in the crowded mid-range segment. However, its success will ultimately depend on whether the Dimensity 6400 delivers consistent everyday performance and if the camera can live up to Motorola's "segment-leading" claims in real-world use.
