Motorola has announced the sale of its new moto g max in India, bringing a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 camera, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, and a 120Hz Full HD+ display to the segment.
Motorola g max Specifications And Features
The smartphone stands out with its Luxury Satin-inspired finish, which Motorola says is designed to provide a premium look while resisting everyday fingerprints and smudges. It is available in PANTONE Stargazer, PANTONE Alaskan Blue, and PANTONE Malaga colour options.
For photography, the moto g max features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera with Quad Pixel Technology, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The phone also gets a 32MP Quad Pixel selfie camera and a 2-in-1 Ambient Light Sensor.
Motorola has included several AI-powered photography features, including Auto Night Vision and portrait enhancements, along with tools such as Adobe Scan, Photo Booth, and Super Zoom. Google Photos editing features including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Reimagine, and Auto Frame are also supported.
The moto g max is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola’s RAM Boost technology can provide additional virtual memory for multitasking and keeping more applications active in the background.
The smartphone features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports Display Color Boost, Water Touch technology, and up to 1050 nits High Brightness Mode. For audio, the phone comes with stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, dual microphones, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The moto g max packs a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery, with Motorola claiming up to three days of battery life and up to 63 hours of usage on a single charge. The phone supports a 33W TurboPower charger and Battery Care technology, with the battery engineered for up to 1,000 charging cycles.
The company also highlights durability, with the phone featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, MIL-STD-810H certification, and SGS-certified IP64 water resistance.
On the software side, the moto g max runs Android 16 out of the box and comes with Google Gemini integration, Moto Secure, ThinkShield for Mobile, Face Unlock, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Motorola has promised two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
Motorola g max Price in India, Availability
The moto g max 6GB + 128GB is available at an effective launch price of Rs 26,999. The phone is available through Flipkart, Motorola.in, and leading retail stores across India from 12 PM onwards.
Motorola is offering a Rs 3,000 bank cashback or exchange and no-cost EMI offers. Buyers can also get a Jio offer with 5,000GB cloud storage for 18 months and access to Google Gemini Pro, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
The moto g max is going after buyers who want a large battery without completely compromising on design, cameras, and display. The 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery is the headline feature, but the 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 camera, 120Hz Full HD+ panel, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, and IP64 rating make the overall package more interesting.
At an effective Rs 26,999, the combination looks fairly well-rounded on paper. The biggest question will be how the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 performs in real-world gaming and whether the camera can deliver on Motorola’s “segment-leading” claims. For users prioritising battery life and a feature-rich everyday experience, though, the moto g max makes a strong case in this price range.
