Motorola has officially announced the sale of the Motorola Razr fold and Motorola Buds 2 plus in India today at 12 PM via Flipkart, Motorola's India website, and leading retail stores across the country. The Razr fold arrives as Motorola's most ambitious foldable smartphone yet, combining flagship hardware, large battery capacity, advanced camera hardware, and AI-powered software experiences into a premium foldable form factor.
Motorola Razr Fold Focuses Heavily on Cameras and Battery Life
Motorola is positioning the Razr fold around imaging and endurance, two areas where foldables have traditionally faced compromises.
The device features what Motorola calls the "World's #1 Foldable Camera System," backed by a DXOMARK Gold Label certification. The setup includes three 50MP rear cameras led by a Sony LYTIA 828 primary sensor, alongside a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x Super Zoom Pro support, as well as a 50MP ultrawide and macro vision sensor. The phone also includes 20MP and 32MP selfie cameras. Motorola says the camera system supports 8K Dolby Vision recording alongside 4K Dolby Vision recording at up to 60fps across all lenses. The company claims the setup is designed to deliver sharper details, improved dynamic range, and blur-free captures across photography and video workflows.
Under the hood, the Razr fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm architecture, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Battery life is another major talking point. Motorola claims the Razr fold features the biggest battery currently available in a foldable smartphone, packing a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with a claimed runtime of over 43 hours. The phone supports 80W TurboPower wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging.
Large Foldable Display With Up to 6,200 Nits Brightness
The Motorola Razr fold features a large 8.1-inch 2K Extreme AMOLED main display paired with a 6.6-inch external AMOLED display. Motorola says the external panel supports up to 165Hz LTPO refresh rate, while both displays support Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
The company is also claiming peak brightness of up to 6,200 nits alongside 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage for improved outdoor visibility and HDR playback. In terms of durability, Motorola has equipped the foldable with an aircraft-grade steel hinge reinforced with titanium components. The device also features Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 protection alongside IP48 and IP49 ratings for water and dust resistance.
The phone runs Hello UI based on Android 16 and includes several Motorola ai features such as Catch Me Up 2.0, Pay Attention, AI Image Studio, Recall, and Global Search.
Motorola is offering the device in Pantone-curated Blackened Blue and Lily White finishes with Satin Luxe and Diamond Piqué-inspired textures. A special FIFA World Cup 2026 Edition is also available with exclusive FIFA-themed UI customisations, FIFA Heroes game integration, and 24-karat FIFA logo plating on the rear panel.
Motorola Buds 2 Plus Brings Bose-Tuned Audio
Alongside the foldable, Motorola has also launched the Motorola buds 2 plus, which the company positions as having premium audio performance. The earbuds feature Sound by Bose tuning, 11mm dynamic drivers, balanced armatures by Knowles, Dynamic ANC, CrystalTalk AI calling, and support for LHDC and LDAC codecs. Motorola claims up to 40 hours of total playback with the charging case.
Additional features include Bluetooth 6.0, Dual Connection, Gaming Mode, Wear Detection, Fit Test, and IP54 water-repellent protection.
