Nothing Phone 4b Teased Ahead Of Its Launch: Here’s Everything We Know About It So Far

Nothing’s latest teaser points to a possible Phone 4b, and it could be the brand’s most affordable phone yet. Just days after Nothing confirmed there won’t be a new CMF smartphone this year, the company appears to have started teasing an entirely different device.

A new teaser shared by Nothing India has fuelled speculation around a possible Nothing Phone 4b. The video follows an earlier teaser from Nothing’s global social media accounts that simply featured the letter “(b)”. This made many think that the company could be preparing for a new smartphone series launch.

While Nothing hasn’t officially confirmed the product name, the latest teaser gives us a closer look at what appears to be an upcoming smartphone.

What Do We Know About the Nothing Phone 4b?

The video shows a sketch being drawn of a smartphone with a transparent rear design, a signature element of Nothing’s devices. Towards the end, a set of pencils are shown, labelled 2B, 3B and 5B, while the slot marked “4B” is highlighted. This could possibly be the phone’s name.

The company had previously also shared a teaser with a graphic featuring the Pokémon Blastoise. Nothing has previously used Pokémon names as internal codenames for products. That’s why people were quick to assume that Blastoise could be associated with the rumoured Phone (4b).

A Focus On Affordability

Perhaps the biggest clue comes from the camera setup. Based on the teaser, the device appears to feature a single rear camera. This is a notable step away from recent Nothing smartphones that offer dual or triple-camera systems.

If that turns out to be true, the Phone (4b) could be positioned as a more affordable option focused on the essentials. Since a new CMF phone is not coming this year, it could become Nothing’s budget offering for the year. Rather than adding multiple cameras, Nothing may choose to prioritise performance, battery life and software experience while keeping costs under control.

Nothing is yet to reveal specifications, pricing or a launch date. However, with teasers now arriving in quick succession, an official announcement may not be far away.
