OPPO has added a new Velvet Red finish to its recently launched Find X9 lineup in India, barely a week after the series went on sale. A colour well-suited for the upcoming holiday season. The colour is exclusive to the base Find X9 and will be available in the 12GB + 256GB configuration starting December 8 for Rs 74,999. If you include the bank offers, the effective price drops to Rs 67,499.
OPPO claims that the quick turnaround with a new colour for the Find X9 was because it saw more than three times the sales of the previous generation in its first week. The company says the fresh colour option is a response to consumer interest in a more expressive design. This new colour variant adds to the existing Titanium Grey and Space Black colour options.
Colour refreshes have become a common mid-cycle tactic for smartphone brands, but introducing one this early signals OPPO’s intent to keep the Find X9 visible during the holiday period. The company is also offering a long list of offers alongside the new colour option. From 10% cashback and 24-month no-cost EMI plans to exchange bonuses and a bundled accessory box for Velvet Red buyers.
Buyers also get a 180-day hardware defect replacement policy and a complimentary three-month subscription to Google’s Gemini Pro, along with carrier-specific incentives for Jio users.

Beyond the paint job, nothing changes on the hardware front. Velvet Red carries the same specs as the earlier variants, including the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and a 7,500mAh battery. The series also continues OPPO’s collaboration with Hasselblad, with imaging backed by the company’s LUMO engine. The camera is one of the selling points of the X9 smartphone and features a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary lens, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra wide shooter. It runs the latest version of ColorOS with upgraded AI features.
