Oppo has unveiled the design language of its upcoming Reno16 Series, introducing what it claims is India's first HoloVerse 3D Design along with the debut of the AI Snap Key on the Reno series.
The Reno16 Series will be available in Starry White, Twilight Violet and Stellar Purple colour options. The Starry White variant features Oppo's new 3D Pop Planet Design, which uses the company's HoloVerse 3D Technology to create a naked-eye 3D visual effect that changes with viewing angles and lighting conditions.
According to Oppo, the design is built using a dual-layer optical structure comprising a graphic layer and a precision-engineered microlens array with tens of millions of lithographic microlenses. The company says this creates a floating planet effect beneath the rear panel. The Reno16 Series also features a Floating 3D Glitter finish and a Dynamic Stellar Ring around the camera module.
The Reno16 features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with 1.6mm bezels, a 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It measures 8.22mm in thickness and weighs 182g. The Reno16c comes with a 6.57-inch AMOLED display, FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 8.44mm thickness and a weight of approximately 195g. Peak brightness reaches 1,800 nits on the Reno16 and 1,400 nits on the Reno16c.
Oppo is also introducing the AI Snap Key on the Reno series for the first time. The side-mounted button allows users to save on-screen content to Mind Space with a single press, record voice notes with a long press and launch Mind Space with a double press. Users can also customise the button for shortcuts including the camera, flashlight, translator and recorder.
The AI Snap Key works alongside AI Mind Pilot and Mind Space, which integrate Gemini, Perplexity and ChatGPT for content organisation, research and information retrieval.
For durability, the Reno16 Series carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. Oppo says the devices can withstand water immersion up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes as well as high-pressure and high-temperature water exposure. The phones also feature an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, Splash Touch and Glove Touch support.
Oppo has not yet announced pricing, specifications or availability details for the Reno16 Series. The company is expected to reveal additional information closer to launch.
