Oppo Reno16 Series Goes on Sale in India on July 9

Oppo has announced the first sale of the Reno16 Series in India, with the lineup going on sale from July 9 across Amazon, Flipkart, the Oppo E-store, and leading retail outlets. The company has also introduced the Oppo Bubble smart camera companion, priced at Rs. 7,999.

Oppo Reno 16 Specifications And Features

The Reno16 Series is built around photography and AI-powered content creation. It features what Oppo calls India's first HoloVerse 3D Design, alongside a 50MP AI Portrait Camera with a 3.5x telephoto lens, Natural Tone Imaging, and support for 4K 60fps HDR video recording across different focal lengths. The phones also ship with ColorOS 16 and a range of AI features, including AI Remix Collage, AI Recompose, AI Perfect Shot, AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Best Face, AI Studio, Pop Cam, and Popout 2.0.

Alongside the smartphones, Oppo has launched the Bubble, its first smart camera companion. The accessory comes with a 1.73-inch AMOLED preview display, wireless remote functionality, magnetic attachment, and an IP54 rating, aiming to make mobile photography and content creation more convenient.

Reno 16 Pricing And Availability

The Oppo Reno16 starts at Rs. 61,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, while the 12GB+256GB model is priced at Rs. 67,999. The Reno16c is available in three variants: 8GB+128GB for Rs. 46,999, 8GB+256GB for Rs. 49,999, and 12GB+256GB for Rs. 55,999.

To sweeten the launch, Oppo is offering up to 10 percent cashback on select bank cards and UPI transactions, zero down payment schemes for up to 18 months, a Rs. 5,000 exchange bonus, and 180 days of complimentary screen damage protection. Buyers can also purchase the Oppo Enco Buds3 Pro+ at a 50 percent discount with the Reno16 Series, while those bundling the phone with the Oppo Bubble can choose between 18-month zero down payment or 10 percent instant cashback offers.

The Reno16 Series is clearly aimed at users who prioritise mobile photography and AI-powered editing over benchmark numbers. While the HoloVerse design adds visual appeal, the real differentiators are the telephoto camera, all-focal-length 4K HDR recording, and Oppo's growing AI toolkit. In the premium mid-range segment, it will compete with devices such as the OnePlus 15R, vivo V70 Pro, Xiaomi 17T, and Motorola Edge 70 Pro, where camera performance and software experience are becoming just as important as raw processing power.
