Realme has confirmed that the Realme 16x 5G will launch in India on August 12, expanding its number series portfolio with a smartphone focused on battery life, smooth performance and AI-powered camera features.

One of the biggest highlights of the Realme 16x 5G is its 7,000mAh battery, which the company claims is designed to deliver dependable all-day usage. The smartphone also supports 45W fast charging, bypass charging and reverse charging. Realme says the battery has been engineered to retain its health for up to six years, making longevity one of the device’s key selling points.
The Realme 16x 5G will feature a 144Hz high refresh rate display aimed at delivering smoother scrolling, responsive gaming and improved outdoor readability. Powering the software experience is Realme’s self-developed Flux Engine, which intelligently allocates system resources for smoother multitasking.
Gaming performance is further enhanced by the company’s GT BOOST gaming optimisation engine. Using AI-powered resource scheduling, GT BOOST is designed to maintain stable frame rates for a more consistent gaming experience.
For photography, the smartphone is equipped with a 50MP AI camera. Realme says the camera is capable of capturing detailed images with natural-looking skin tones, while AI-powered features such as AI Eraser and AI Ultra Clarity help improve image quality after capture.
The camera experience also includes Motion Photo and Dual-View Video Mode, allowing users to create more dynamic photos and videos directly from the smartphone.
Despite housing a large battery, the Realme 16x 5G is said to feature a slim design with what the company calls a Blooming Design finish. The smartphone also carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, along with military-grade shock resistance, adding an extra layer of durability for everyday use.
