The Redmi 17C 5G is now available in India after its launch last week. The latest Redmi smartphone targets the affordable 5G segment with a 6,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It also runs Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 3 software, based on Android 16.
Starting at Rs. 20,999, the Redmi 17C 5G joins India’s growing affordable 5G smartphone segment. Its combination of a large battery, 120Hz display, expandable storage, and Android 16-based HyperOS 3 makes it a device aimed at buyers looking for everyday performance without moving into higher-priced smartphone categories.
Redmi 17C 5G Price in India
The Redmi 17C 5G is priced at Rs. 20,999 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A higher 6GB RAM variant is available for Rs. 22,999, with both configurations offering 128GB of onboard storage. The phone comes in Coffee Brew, Dark Night, and Purple Dawn colour options.
Customers can purchase the Redmi 17C 5G through the Xiaomi India website, Amazon, and Xiaomi retail stores across the country.

The Redmi 17C 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD with a 1,600×720-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports AdaptiveSync, up to 810 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode, and a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz. Xiaomi also claims 83 percent NTSC colour coverage.
The phone carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Under the hood, the handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can also expand the RAM virtually by up to 6GB, while storage can be expanded by up to 1TB using a microSD card.
The Redmi 17C 5G runs HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16.
For photography, the phone features a 50-megapixel AI rear camera system. The camera software includes modes such as Ultra HD, Portrait, and Night mode. The handset also includes an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4. The phone also has a USB Type-C port and supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou navigation systems.
Battery life is another major focus of the Redmi 17C 5G. The smartphone packs a 6,000mAh battery and supports 33W wired fast charging.
The phone measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 7.99mm and weighs approximately 211 grams. Despite its large battery, the handset remains under 8mm thick.
