Vivo has announced the India sale of the S2 FE, a smartphone featuring a 10,000mAh battery, a 120Hz AMOLED display and a 50-megapixel Sony rear camera. The handset is available in India through Vivo's official website, partner retail stores, Flipkart and Amazon.
Vivo S2 FE Specifications and Features
The biggest highlight of the Vivo S2 FE is its 10,000mAh capacity battery. It supports reverse charging at 6W, allowing users to power compatible USB Type-C devices. Vivo claims a seven-year battery lifespan based on its laboratory testing, with the battery retaining at least 80% capacity after 1,400 charge cycles under the specified test conditions. The smartphone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness of 2,000 nits in High Brightness Mode. It also includes dual stereo speakers for entertainment and gaming.
Powering the Vivo S2 FE is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G platform. The company claims an AnTuTu score of up to 900,000 under controlled laboratory conditions. A 3.8K sq mm VC cooling system is designed to help manage temperatures during demanding workloads. The device comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Following a software update, the 6GB variant supports up to 12GB of extended RAM, while the 8GB variant supports up to 16GB of extended RAM.
For photography, the Vivo S2 FE features a 50-megapixel Sony sensor main camera and a 32-megapixel wide-angle front camera. AI Erase is among the available imaging features, although it requires a network connection. The Vivo S2 FE runs OriginOS 6, which brings features such as Origin Island for viewing relevant information and updates, Private Space for keeping personal content separate, and Shake and Share for content sharing in supported scenarios.
The smartphone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and has passed six durability tests based on the MIL-STD-810H standard, according to Vivo. These include high- and low-temperature, sand and dust, rain, impact and transportation-fall tests. The company notes that water and dust resistance can reduce over time and that liquid damage is not covered under warranty. The Vivo S2 FE is manufactured at Vivo's facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, as part of the company's Make in India initiative.
