Vivo's upcoming S2 could mark the return of the S-series to India with a fresh focus on design. While the company has only teased the smartphone's arrival and offered a glimpse of its rear camera module, fresh leaks now paint a clearer picture of what to expect from the smartphone ahead of its official announcement.
The latest information suggests that Vivo is positioning the S2 as a premium-looking smartphone aimed at offline buyers. It can feature slim dimensions, curved edges, and multiple colour options alongside a large battery and AMOLED display.
Premium Design Appears To Be The Highlight
Unlike many smartphones in the segment that mainly compete on performance, the Vivo S2 is expected to lean into aesthetics. The phone is tipped to launch in Silk White, Sapphire Blue, and Regal Bronze, with a curved AMOLED display and a relatively slim chassis despite packing a battery exceeding 7,000mAh.
According to leaksters, the Silk White variant could measure 8.10mm thick and weigh 199g, while the Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze versions are expected to come in at 7.99mm and 197g. The use of a 3D curved display further suggests Vivo is borrowing design inspiration from more expensive smartphones.
What The Leak Says About The Hardware
On the specifications front, the Vivo S2 is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset.
Battery life could be another highlight, with the leak pointing to a 7,050mAh battery backed by 44W fast charging.
For cameras, the smartphone can feature a 50-megapixel primary camera, accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, along with a 3-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is also tipped to offer IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Expected Price
According to tipster Sanju, the Vivo S2 could be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000 in India, although the reported retail box carries an MRP of Rs 66,999. If the leak proves to be accurate, the smartphone will enter a crowded premium mid-range market where brands are increasingly focusing on design, battery life, and display quality alongside performance.
