Vivo has launched the Vivo T5 in India as the latest addition to its performance-focused T-series. The smartphone combines a large battery with a high-refresh-rate curved AMOLED display, a new MediaTek chipset and AI-powered features for performance, productivity and content creation.
Vivo T5 Specifications And Features
The Vivo T5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor with an 8th-generation NPU designed for on-device generative AI workloads. Vivo claims up to 233% faster on-device AI computing, along with lower power consumption and improved smoothness.
The chipset is built on a 4nm process and features an octa-core CPU and Krake GPU architecture. Vivo claims an AnTuTu score of up to 1.2 million+.
For sustained performance, the smartphone features a 3,800mm² vapor chamber cooling system with a total cooling area of 23,062mm². It also uses 10 temperature sensors for real-time temperature monitoring during intensive usage.
The Vivo T5 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel offers 449 PPI pixel density, a 93.82% screen-to-body ratio, DCI-P3 colour gamut and HDR10+ support.
The display can reach up to 2,000 nits HBM brightness and comes with SGS certifications for low blue light, low flicker and sunlight display performance. The phone also gets Eye Protection Mode, Sleep Comfort Mode and Anti-Fatigue Brightness Adjustment. For audio, the Vivo T5 features symmetrical dual stereo speakers with Vivo’s VEQ algorithm for enhanced bass at lower volumes.
The Vivo T5 packs a 7050mAh battery, which Vivo describes as its slimmest smartphone with a 7000mAh-plus battery. Despite the large battery, the device measures just 0.79cm thick and weighs 199 grams.
The phone supports 44W FlashCharge. Vivo claims that the battery can reach 44% from 1% in 30 minutes, while a 10-minute charge can take it from 1% to 17%. The battery is rated to retain at least 80% health after up to 1,600 complete charge and discharge cycles under the company’s specified testing conditions. Vivo also claims up to 14 days of standby time, 85 hours of music playback, 34.7 hours of local video playback and up to 7.9 hours of gaming on a single charge. The smartphone also supports Global Bypass Charging, which prioritises power delivery to the system during supported usage scenarios, along with a Battery Life Extender mode for low-battery situations.
For photography, the Vivo T5 features a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with 4-axis OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 115-degree field of view. The phone also gets a 32MP front camera with an 84-degree field of view. For portraits, Multifocal Portrait offers 1x, 1.5x and 2x options. Other camera features include Bokeh Flare Portrait, AI Erase 2.0 and Sony Aura Light. The Vivo T5 supports 4K video recording on both the front and rear cameras, with OIS and EIS available for stabilisation.
The Vivo T5 runs OriginOS 6.0 and comes with three generations of Android upgrades and five years of security updates. Its AI feature set includes AI Creation, AI Transcript Assist, AI Captions, Circle to Search 2.0 and Ultra HD Documents. Vivo DocMaster enables document viewing, conversion, annotation and management.
The smartphone also supports Vivo Office Kit for file sharing, screen mirroring, task handoff and notes syncing between the phone and compatible computers. Private Space provides a separate area for personal apps, photos and files, while Shake & Share enables quick transfers of photos and videos between compatible devices.
The Vivo T5 carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust, water immersion, splashes, rain and high-pressure water jets under controlled laboratory conditions. It also supports Wet-Hand Touch and One-Tap Water Ejection. Vivo says the phone has undergone X9 durability testing and MIL-STD-810H testing covering extreme temperatures, sand and dust, rain, impact and transportation falls.
The Vivo T5 is manufactured at Vivo’s Greater Noida facility as part of the company’s Make in India initiative.
Vivo T5 Price and Availability
The Vivo T5 is available in Royal Bronze and Silver Green colour options and comes in four configurations. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 34,999, while the 8GB + 128GB model costs Rs 39,999. The 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 44,999, and the 12GB + 256GB version costs Rs 49,999.
The smartphone will go on sale from September 9, 2026, through Flipkart, the Vivo India e-store and partner retail stores.
Launch-day offers include an instant discount of Rs 3,500 on the 6GB + 128GB variant and Rs 4,000 on the other variants using select HDFC, SBI and Axis Bank cards. Six months of no-cost EMI is also available. After applying the applicable offers, the effective prices start at Rs 31,499.
