vivo T5 Pro Launched in India With 9020mAh Battery, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and 144Hz AMOLED Display

vivo has expanded its performance-focused T-series lineup in India with the launch of the vivo T5 Pro, bringing a combination of large battery capacity, gaming-oriented hardware, and AI-driven features to the mid-premium segment.

The smartphone is positioned around endurance and sustained performance, headlined by what the company claims is its largest battery yet, paired with a slim form factor and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display. With the T5 Pro, vivo is clearly prioritising battery life and sustained performance as key differentiators. While the hardware remains competitive across display, performance, and durability, the large battery and cooling system give the device a distinct positioning in a segment that is increasingly focused on endurance and gaming stability.

A Battery-First Approach Defines The Device

The biggest highlight of the T5 Pro is its 9020mAh battery, which stands out in a segment where most devices remain below the 6,000mAh mark. vivo is using fourth-generation silicon-carbon anode technology to maintain energy density while keeping the device relatively slim at 0.825 cm. The device supports 90W fast charging, with the company claiming up to a 50 percent charge in 37 minutes. Additional features such as bypass charging, battery health management, and multi-layer safety protection are aimed at improving long-term reliability and thermal efficiency during heavy usage.

Hardware Tuned For Sustained Gaming Performance

The T5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with what vivo claims is a 1.2 million AnTuTu score, positioning it as a performance-focused device in its category. For gaming, the smartphone supports up to 120FPS gameplay in supported titles and includes a large 7000 mm² vapor chamber cooling system, designed to maintain stable performance during extended sessions. Additional gaming features include an independent antenna for better signal stability, Ultra Game Mode, and haptic feedback enhancements.

A High-Refresh AMOLED Panel With Peak Brightness Focus

The device features a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak local brightness of up to 5000 nits.

The panel supports HDR10+ and offers over one billion colours, aiming to deliver improved clarity and vibrancy across content. Eye-care features such as low blue light certification and high-frequency PWM dimming are also included for prolonged usage. Stereo speakers complement the display, rounding out the multimedia experience.

Camera Hardware Backed By AI-Driven Tools

The vivo T5 Pro is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS, alongside a 32MP front camera. The device supports 4K video recording on both front and rear cameras, along with features such as Live Photo, AI Erase, and AI-powered image enhancement tools. These features are designed to simplify editing and improve output quality without requiring manual adjustments.

Slim Design Paired With Durability Enhancements

Despite its large battery, the T5 Pro maintains a relatively slim profile and features a metallic camera module with a patterned finish. The smartphone is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance, along with additional protections such as reinforced corners and water ejection features for improved durability in everyday conditions.

Software Experience Built Around AI And Continuity

The device runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and includes features such as Origin Island, multitasking tools, and cross-device connectivity through vivo Office Kit. AI-powered tools like AI Creation, AI Transcript, and AI Search are integrated into the system, alongside Google Gemini support. vivo has also committed to three years of OS updates and five years of security updates.
