Vivo has expanded its T-series portfolio in India with the launch of the Vivo T5e, an entry-level smartphone aimed at students and young professionals. Priced at Rs. 13,999, the smartphone focuses on long battery life, everyday durability, AI-powered software features, and a clean design. The device is now available via the Vivo India online store, Flipkart, and partner retail outlets.

The Vivo T5e packs a 5,500mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 18 hours of online video playback, 47 hours of music playback, 13.5 hours of social media usage, and 28 hours of voice calling. Vivo has also included 15W Fast Charging, 4-year battery health, Battery Life Extender, Super Battery Saver Mode, Sleep Standby Optimisation, and Reverse Charging support to improve long-term usability.
Designed for everyday use, the Vivo T5e comes with Military-Grade Durability certification along with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone also supports Wet-Hand Touch and Greasy-Hand Touch, allowing users to operate the display even with wet or slightly oily fingers. Vivo says the phone uses a reinforced internal cushioning structure to better protect key components against accidental drops.
The smartphone features a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and animations during daily use. It also includes Sleep Comfort Mode and intelligent brightness adjustment to reduce eye strain during extended viewing sessions.
Powering the device is the UNISOC T7225 octa-core processor, paired with 4GB RAM and support for up to 4GB Extended RAM. Storage can also be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card, making it suitable for users who store large amounts of photos, videos, and apps.
Running OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, the Vivo T5e includes several AI-powered tools designed to improve productivity. These include AI Creation, which can summarise, rewrite, and translate text, as well as Vivo DocMaster for document management. The software is aimed at helping students and young professionals manage everyday tasks more efficiently. For photography, the Vivo T5e comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The camera app includes AI-powered features such as Cutout, which lets users separate subjects from backgrounds, while the built-in Vivo Documents feature improves the clarity of scanned files.
The smartphone is offered in Shadow Grey and Aero Blue colour options. It features a minimalist rear camera module, matte frame design, composite back panel, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication.
