Vivo has launched the T5x 5G in India, marking the first model in its new T5 series. This smartphone emphasizes battery life, performance, and durability, making it a dependable mid-range device for users. The vivo T5x 5G has a 7200mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge support. The company states the device can charge up to 50 percent in about 43 minutes and is built for extended use, including gaming, streaming, and multitasking. Vivo also mentions that the battery supports reverse charging and includes long-term battery health improvements.
The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset. Vivo claims the smartphone achieves an AnTuTu score of over 1 million, making it the fastest smartphone in its category, although real-world performance may differ. The phone supports up to 8GB of extended RAM and uses UFS 3.1 storage for quicker app loading and smoother multitasking.
Regarding durability, the company asserts that the T5x 5G is military-grade and features IP68 and IP69+ ratings for water and dust resistance. Additional features include a reinforced structure and mechanisms for water and dust ejection. The smartphone has a 6.76-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peaks at 1200 nits brightness. Vivo claims the panel allows for smoother scrolling and better visibility outdoors, featuring eye comfort enhancements and TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.
For cameras, the device sports a 50MP AI main camera and a 2MP bokeh sensor, supporting 4K video recording. The front houses a 32MP camera, which also records in 4K. Vivo points out features like electronic image stabilization, dual-view video, and AI editing tools. The T5x 5G runs on OriginOS 6, with improvements in smoothness, personalization, and AI productivity features, according to the company. The device is also expected to receive two generations of Android updates and four years of security updates.
This smartphone comes in two colours: Cyber Green and Star Silver. Pricing starts at ₹18,999 for the 6GB + 128GB version, ₹20,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version, and ₹22,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version. It will be available starting March 24, 2026, through Flipkart, the vivo India e-store, and physical retail stores.
As part of the launch promotions, buyers can receive an instant discount of up to ₹2,000 with select bank cards and UPI payments, along with up to six months of no-cost EMI. Additional perks include bundled OTT access with select Jio prepaid plans.
