Vivo X300 confirmed for India on Dec 2, and leaked prices look spicy

Okay, big news for phone nerds in India! Vivo just confirmed it’s launching its brand new X300 series here on December 2nd. That’s fast – just a few weeks after it launched in China. We’re getting both the regular X300 and the X300 Pro. And just in time, a new leak gives us a pretty good idea of what the base model will cost.

What We Know About The Price

A tipster just posted the alleged Indian pricing. The 12GB/256GB version is supposedly launching at Rs. 74,999, with the 16GB/512GB model at Rs. 80,999. (The box MRP might be higher, at Rs. 89,999, but this is the likely selling price).
That’s not cheap, but it puts the phone squarely in a fistfight with the brand-new OnePlus 15. It looks like Vivo is ready to compete hard at the high end.

A Pricey New Camera Toy?

The leak also gave us a price for Vivo's new Telephoto Extender Kit. It’s not cheap. Rumours suggest that it will retail close to Rs. 20,999. This is an add-on Zeiss lens that clicks onto the phone and gives you a 2.35x telephoto boost. It even has a little NFC chip, so the phone knows the lens is attached and fires up a special camera mode for it. Pretty neat.

A New Colour Just for India?

In a separate post, the same tipster hinted that we’re getting a special India-only colour. It’s supposedly called “Summit Red.” No pictures or anything yet, but it sounds cool. The global versions are Mist Blue and Phantom Black, so a flashy red would definitely stand out.

What We Know for Sure

While the prices are just rumours, Vivo has already confirmed the important stuff inside. Both phones are running on that brand new 3nm Dimensity 9500 chip. And for cameras, it’s packing in two new imaging chips (the VS1 Pro and the V3 Plus), so expect the photos to be incredible. It’ll ship with Android 16 (under OriginOS 6) right out of the box.
We’ll have to wait for the official launch event next month (December 2nd) to get the final, locked-in prices. But right now, it looks like Vivo is coming in hot.
