After launching the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra models, the brand has now confirmed launching one more Xiaomi 17-series smartphone in India. It will be the Xiaomi 17T, which is expected to focus heavily on camera with its partnership with Leica, and portability. The smartphone is launching in India on June 4, and while the launch date is officially out, the brand is still tight-lipped about the specifications and its pricing.
However, leaks and rumours always find their way to the internet. So, here’s everything we know about the Xiaomi 17T ahead of its launch.
Xiaomi 17T Specifications (Expected)
The Xiaomi 17T could launch with its familiar Xiaomi-style design language; Flat edges, a squircle-shaped camera module, and what is being said to be a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with support of up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the phone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, which is paired with a massive 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. The device may also run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3, while features like dual-SIM support and IP68 dust and water resistance are also expected.
As for the cameras, Xiaomi is said to continue its Leica partnership on the 17T as well. The phone is tipped to feature a triple rear camera setup with two 50-megapixel sensors alongside a 12-megapixel camera. Leica's imaging tuning and photography-focused features are also expected to make a return, similar to what we’ve seen on Xiaomi's flagship phones. And for selfies, the Xiaomi 17T may offer a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
Xiaomi 17T Price (Expected)
Now, the pricing of this smartphone is a big question, but its competitors like the Oppo Find X9s and the Vivo X300 FE have launched right below Rs 80,000. According to that maths, I am expecting it would also launch between Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000.
