Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 17T series will launch globally on May 28, with the company describing it as its "biggest T Series upgrade yet." The upcoming lineup is expected to include the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, both featuring Leica-tuned triple rear camera systems and large battery-focused flagship hardware.
As part of the teaser, Xiaomi revealed the rear camera module design, confirming a square-shaped Leica-branded triple-camera setup. While the company has not officially disclosed full specifications yet, multiple leaked renders and reports have already revealed several expected hardware details ahead of launch.
Xiaomi 17T Pro Expected to Feature 144Hz Display and 7,000mAh Battery
Leaked renders suggest both the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro will feature a flat-frame design with a square-shaped camera module positioned at the top-left corner of the rear panel. Both devices also appear to feature power and volume buttons on the right side, while an additional button may be placed on the left edge.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, positioning it among the higher-refresh-rate flagships in the segment. The phone is also expected to pack a 7,000mAh battery, while the standard Xiaomi 17T could feature a slightly smaller 6,500mAh battery. Both devices are also tipped to include telephoto cameras with up to 5x optical zoom support, suggesting Xiaomi is continuing to push imaging capabilities heavily within the T-series lineup. The standard Xiaomi 17T is reportedly powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, though Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the processor yet.
Leica Partnership Continues to Be a Key Focus
Xiaomi's teaser heavily focuses on the Leica-tuned camera system, continuing the company's broader partnership with Leica across its premium smartphone lineup. While the exact camera sensors remain undisclosed, Xiaomi appears to be positioning the 17T series around flagship-style photography and zoom capabilities rather than purely raw performance.

According to recent reports, the Xiaomi 17T could launch in Europe at EUR 749 (roughly Rs. 83,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro may be priced at EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 1,11,000). Xiaomi has not yet confirmed India pricing or availability.
If accurate, the pricing would position the Xiaomi 17T series against devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series and Google Pixel 10 Series in global markets. The combination of large batteries, high-refresh-rate displays, and Leica-branded cameras suggests Xiaomi is trying to balance multimedia, battery endurance, and imaging performance in a segment that has become increasingly competitive. The 7,000mAh battery claim on the Pro model is particularly notable because most premium smartphones still remain in the 5,000mAh to 5,500mAh range.
