Nothing Ear (3) Announced With Enhanced Noise Cancellation and Recording Features

Nothing has introduced its latest flagship earbuds, the Ear 3, taking forward its transparent design language while adding a case that now plays a bigger role. Global sales commence on September 25, with Indian availability expected shortly thereafter.

What’s Different This Time?

The earbuds carry a familiar look with transparent stems and branding, but the real upgrade sits inside the case. Finished with a metallic edge and topped with a transparent lid, the case now comes with a Talk button that activates the Super Mic. This dual-microphone setup can reduce outside noise by up to 95dB, allowing you to focus on your voice and making conversations much clearer. Apart from calls, the Super Mic also works for voice recordings.

If you are using a Nothing Phone, those recordings will be saved directly to Essential Space and even transcribed automatically. On other phones, they'll be stored in the default voice recording app.

The earbuds themselves are equipped with 12mm dynamic drivers, support spatial audio, and offer Active Noise Cancellation of up to 45dB. Each bud includes three microphones and a bone-conduction sensor that picks up vibrations from your jaw and ear canal, improving voice clarity during calls and cutting wind noise by as much as 25dB.

On the connectivity side, the Ear 3 supports Bluetooth 5.4, dual pairing, and carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashes. Battery life is claimed at up to 38 hours with the case, which also supports wireless charging. The earbuds house 55mAh batteries each, while the case packs a 500mAh unit. Colour options include black and white.

The earbuds bring a fresh set of changes on the inside this year. What we're really curious about is how they will hold up against rivals like the AirPods 4, OnePlus Buds 4 and others already on the shelves. We'll be digging into that soon, so keep an eye out for our upcoming coverage.

Nothing Ear (3) Pricing

The Ear 3 has been priced at 179 dollars in the US (around Rs 15,800). In the UK, it costs 179 pounds and in Europe, 179 euros.

Nothing is also preparing to expand its audio lineup further, with its sub-brand CMF set to launch its first over-the-ear headphones later this month.

We can't wait for the Buds (3) to arrive in India so we can put them to the test ourselves. Keep an eye on MySmartPrice, a full review will be coming your way soon.
