KRAFTON India has announced yet another collaboration for BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI), bringing YouTube creator CarryMinati into the game as a fully playable character. Unlike previous creator partnerships that were limited to cosmetic items, this collaboration introduces CarryMinati as an actual playable character alongside an entire in-game collection designed by NotYourType (NYT). The collaboration will be available as part of the BGMI 4.5 update, making it the first time an Indian content creator has received this level of integration inside BGMI.
CarryMinati Becomes a Playable Character in BGMI
According to KRAFTON India, the collaboration marks a significant milestone for Indian gaming as CarryMinati joins BGMI as a fully playable in-game character instead of appearing as a promotional skin or cameo. The entire BGMI x CarryMinati Collection, including the playable character, boss, outfits, weapon skins, vehicle skins and collectible items, has been created by India's anime creator NotYourType, making it a creator-led collaboration from start to finish.
CarryMinati said gaming has always been an important part of his journey and becoming a playable character in BGMI feels like a dream come true. He added that KRAFTON India and NotYourType focused on preserving his personality, humour and energy while designing the character, ensuring players experience a version of CarryMinati that feels authentic inside the game.
BGMI x CarryMinati Collection
The collaboration also brings an extensive cosmetic collection built around the "Where Frost Meets Flame" theme. Players will be able to unlock the CarryMinati Set, Cryo King Set, CarryMinati Collector Card, Cryo Runner Buggy, Cryo Fire UMP45 weapon skin, Cryo Blast Grenade, Cryo Core Backpack, exclusive CarryMinati Emote, CarryMinati Voice Pack, NotYourType Voice Pack and a special Recall Tower Voice featuring CarryMinati. Players will also receive discount vouchers worth 20 UC, 30 UC and 50 UC that can be redeemed up to five times each on the CarryMinati Spin during the event period.
Availability
The BGMI x CarryMinati collaboration will be live from August 15 until September 13, 2026, giving players access to the new WOW Map, CarryMinati Boss battles, exclusive cosmetics, themed rewards and event missions throughout the limited-time event.
Gaming collaborations have evolved beyond movie franchises and sports personalities, and KRAFTON's latest partnership reflects the growing influence of Indian digital creators. Making CarryMinati a fully playable character instead of limiting the collaboration to skins or promotional content gives the event far greater appeal for BGMI's community. If the gameplay content and rewards resonate with players, this could become one of BGMI's biggest India-focused collaborations and potentially pave the way for more homegrown creators to become part of the game's future updates.
