ACT Fibernet Launches Stream TV 4K at Rs 99/Month Rental With AI-Powered Content Search Across OTT Apps and Live TV

ACT Fibernet has launched the Stream TV 4K, an AI-powered entertainment hub designed to simplify content discovery across OTT platforms and live TV. The device can be rented for Rs. 99 per month or purchased outright for Rs. 4,499 (plus GST) and is available exclusively for ACT Fibernet subscribers.

AI Search Takes the Pain Out of Content Discovery

The biggest highlight of the Stream TV 4K is its AI-powered search, which lets users discover content using natural language prompts instead of searching app by app. For instance, users can search using phrases like "comedy in 30 min" or "show with the chess girl," with the AI surfacing relevant results across supported platforms. The feature currently supports English, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Tamil, with more languages planned.

Alongside OTT apps, the device also offers access to over 400 live TV channels with an Electronic Program Guide (EPG), direct channel number input, and a customizable remote featuring personalised shortcuts for quicker navigation.

Aims to Become a One-Stop Entertainment Hub

With Stream TV 4K, ACT is looking to move beyond broadband services and offer a unified entertainment experience. Instead of competing with streaming platforms, the company is positioning the device as a content aggregator that helps users spend less time searching and more time watching.

The Stream TV 4K will compete with devices such as the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, Xiaomi TV Box S, Google TV Streamer, and Airtel Xstream Box. However, ACT is differentiating itself through AI-powered content discovery and deep integration of both OTT apps and live TV channels for its broadband subscribers.

Content discovery has quietly become one of the biggest frustrations in streaming, and that's exactly the problem ACT is trying to solve. If its AI search works as advertised across multiple platforms, the Stream TV 4K could be a useful upgrade for households already using ACT Fibernet, especially those juggling multiple OTT subscriptions and live TV.
