Adobe has announced that its Adobe for creativity connector will expand to Google Gemini in the coming weeks, as revealed during Google I/O 2026. The company says the integration will allow Gemini users to describe what they want to create using natural language, while Adobe's creative tools across imaging, design, and video handle the workflow orchestration directly within Gemini.
Adobe Wants Gemini Users to Create Without Switching Between Apps
According to Adobe, the connector is built around its creative agent technology, which was recently introduced through Firefly AI Assistant in Adobe Firefly and later expanded to Claude through the Adobe for creativity connector.
Adobe says the creative agent is designed to connect the right tools in the right sequence while checking in with users during the workflow. The company says users remain in control of the creative direction while the agent manages execution behind the scenes.
Adobe Shares How Creators Are Already Using the Workflow
The company shared examples from early user testing of the workflow. One photographer used Firefly AI Assistant to transform portrait images with richer lighting, improved composition, and more detail without manually coordinating edits across Photoshop and Lightroom. Adobe says the assistant handled the workflow step-by-step while requesting approval throughout the process.
Adobe also highlighted a social media creator using the Adobe for creativity connector inside Claude. According to the company, the creator uploaded a single image and generated multiple platform-ready versions for Instagram, YouTube, and X directly within Claude. Adobe says the workflow updated dynamically when changes were requested midway through editing.
Firefly AI Assistant Already Supports More Than 60 Creative Tools
Adobe says its broader vision is to make professional creative tools available wherever creative work happens, instead of limiting them to standalone Creative Cloud applications. The company notes that Firefly AI Assistant currently supports more than 60 pro-grade tools across Creative Cloud workflows, while the Adobe for creativity connector in Claude brings over 50 tools into Anthropic's AI assistant environment.
With Gemini integration, Adobe says users will be able to start ideation inside Gemini, continue workflows in Firefly Boards, and further refine projects using Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Express.
Adobe Yet to Reveal Pricing and Rollout Details
Adobe has not yet disclosed pricing details, rollout timelines beyond the "coming weeks" window, or whether access to advanced workflows inside Gemini will require Creative Cloud subscriptions.
