Adobe Expands Creative Agent Across Firefly, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign and Frame.io

Adobe has announced a major expansion of its Creative Agent across Adobe Firefly and Creative Cloud applications, introducing AI-powered workflow assistance across Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Frame.io and other creative tools.

The company said the Creative Agent is designed to help creators describe a desired outcome while the AI Assistant handles multi-step workflows across supported applications.

As part of the update, Adobe Firefly is gaining expanded agentic capabilities, new creative skills, and a unified workflow experience that connects ideation, creation, editing and production within a single platform. New Firefly capabilities include Brand Kit Creation, which can generate logos, brand identities and colour palettes from user prompts; Short Product Video Creation for turning product images into promotional videos; Quick Cut, which automatically assembles video clips into an initial edit; and Storyboard-to-Video generation that transforms visual storyboards into video content.

Adobe has also previewed an upgraded Firefly Creative AI Studio experience, currently available in private beta. The update introduces Elements, allowing creators to save and reuse characters, locations and objects across projects, and Projects, a workspace for organizing assets and creative workflows across Firefly and Creative Cloud applications.

The company is also rolling out AI Assistant across Creative Cloud apps in public beta. In Premiere Pro, the assistant can help organize assets, rename clips, add markers and assemble initial edits. In Photoshop, it can assist with tasks such as background replacement, resizing assets and layer organization. Illustrator users can generate multiple file variations, reorganize layers and run pre-flight checks, while InDesign users can update layouts, styling and templates using AI-powered workflows. Frame.io users can use the assistant to organize production assets, surface feedback and generate supporting content.

Adobe said AI Assistant is also available in private beta for After Effects, with plans to extend Creative Agent capabilities to additional Creative Cloud applications.

Alongside the Creative Cloud expansion, Adobe announced that its creative tools are now available across several third-party AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Google Gemini and Slack.

The latest Firefly AI Assistant features are available in beta through the Firefly web application, while AI Assistant is now available in public beta across Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Frame.io.
