Amazon India has announced the Great Freedom Sale 2026, bringing discounts across smartphones, electronics, fashion, beauty, home appliances, groceries, and more. This year’s edition also puts a strong focus on AI-powered shopping tools, with Amazon highlighting features like Rufus, Lens AI, Review Highlights, and Price History to help shoppers discover products and make better buying decisions.
The sale will feature Top 100 Deals, Blockbuster Deals, Trending Deals, and daily 8 PM Deals across multiple categories. Alongside product discounts, Amazon is offering a 10% instant discount on HDFC Bank Credit Card and EasyEMI transactions, while eligible customers can also avail up to ₹2,000 cashback rewards and No-Cost EMI options on select credit and debit cards. Exchange offers and Amazon Pay rewards will also be available throughout the sale.
AI Shopping Tools Take Centre Stage
Rather than making AI a headline feature, Amazon is integrating it directly into the shopping experience. The company says Rufus, its AI shopping assistant, can answer shopping queries in natural language and provide personalised product recommendations based on customer requirements.
Amazon has also introduced Lens AI, allowing users to search for products simply by uploading or clicking a photo. Other additions include AI Review Highlights, which summarise customer reviews into key takeaways, Buying Guides for easier product comparisons, and a 30 to 90-day Price History tracker that lets customers monitor price movements before making a purchase.
Amazon Pay Offers Additional Savings
Amazon is also using the sale to promote its payment ecosystem. Prime members can get 5% cashback on purchases made using the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card, while non-Prime users receive 3% cashback. The company is also offering welcome rewards worth up to ₹2,500, access to Amazon Pay Later credit, daily EMI options starting at ₹99, and interest-free three-month instalments on purchases above ₹1,500. Additional Rewards Gold cashback offers will also be available during the sale.
