Godrej Launches BIS-ER Certified Wi-Fi and 4G Security Cameras, Expands Connected Surveillance Portfolio in India

Godrej Enterprises Group's Security Solutions business has announced a new range of Wi-Fi and 4G-enabled CCTV cameras in India, marking its expansion into connected surveillance solutions designed for homes, businesses, and remote locations. The new portfolio includes indoor cameras as well as outdoor pan-tilt, dome, and bullet camera variants, all manufactured in India and certified under BIS-ER standards.

The company says the launch reflects its shift from standalone security products toward a connected security ecosystem focused on convenience, reliability, data security, and regulatory compliance.

Godrej Expands Surveillance Portfolio With Wi-Fi and 4G Connectivity

The newly announced lineup includes both Wi-Fi-enabled and 4G-enabled surveillance cameras to address different deployment scenarios.

While the Wi-Fi variants target connected homes and businesses with stable broadband access, the 4G models are designed for locations where traditional internet connectivity may be limited or unavailable. Godrej is also introducing solar-powered surveillance options aimed at delivering uninterrupted monitoring in remote environments.

According to the company, the broader goal is to offer flexible monitoring solutions that remain accessible regardless of location or network availability.

Manufactured in India and BIS-ER Certified

A key part of Godrej's positioning is its emphasis on local manufacturing and compliance.

The entire portfolio is manufactured in India and certified under BIS-ER standards, which the company says reinforces its commitment to quality, regulatory compliance, and data security. At a time when surveillance infrastructure is facing increasing scrutiny around cybersecurity and data governance, Godrej is highlighting trust, compliance, and local manufacturing as important differentiators.

Commenting on the launch, Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head – Security Solutions, Godrej Enterprises Group, said that customer expectations are increasingly shifting toward solutions that are intuitive, dependable, secure, and compliant, rather than focusing solely on hardware specifications.

India's Surveillance Market Continues to Grow

Godrej believes India's organised surveillance market is entering a new phase of growth, with increasing demand from residential, commercial, and institutional buyers seeking integrated security experiences rather than standalone camera systems.

The company noted that customers are now prioritising seamless connectivity, ease of use, remote accessibility, and data security alongside traditional surveillance capabilities. This trend is creating opportunities for established players that can offer complete security ecosystems rather than individual products.

Godrej Bets on Connected Security Experiences

Unlike a conventional product launch focused on specifications, Godrej's latest announcement is largely about positioning.

The company is framing surveillance as a connected experience that combines monitoring, accessibility, compliance, and ease of use into a single ecosystem. With both Wi-Fi and 4G-enabled cameras now part of its portfolio, Godrej is looking to address a wider range of use cases, from urban homes and offices to remote sites that require independent connectivity.

While the company has not yet disclosed detailed specifications, pricing, or model-wise availability, the launch signals a broader push into India's rapidly growing smart surveillance segment.

As demand for connected security solutions continues to rise, Godrej appears to be betting that trust, compliance, and local manufacturing will become increasingly important factors in purchasing decisions alongside camera performance and pricing.
