OPPO Launches F31 5G Series in India, Targets Mid-Range Market

If you are among the many in India who treat their phone like a workhorse, whether it is riding through monsoon rains, navigating humid traffic, or running delivery and shop apps all day, OPPO's newly launched F31 5G Series could be exactly what you have been waiting for. It is built not just for power users but also for people who need a phone that does not slow down, crack under pressure or give up halfway through the day.

What Makes the F31 5G Series Stand Out

OPPO has gone all in with durability. The F31 Series comes with a 360° Armour Body, multi-layer airbag protection, an aerospace-grade AM04 aluminium alloy frame that is stronger than before, and reinforced AGC DT-Star D+ glass. The phones carry IP66, IP68 and IP69 certifications, which means they can withstand dust, water immersion and even high-pressure jets.

With Indian summers often pushing temperatures past 40°C, OPPO's thermal design becomes essential. Vapour chambers, expanded graphite layers and other cooling technologies ensure the phone remains usable even in extreme heat. The company claims the device can continue to run smoothly at up to 43°C.

Battery life has also been given priority. The F31 Series features a 7,000mAh long-life battery designed to retain capacity over time. Connectivity features like Hunter Antenna 2.0 provide stronger signals while on the move, while OPPO's Outdoor Mode 2.0 ensures critical apps such as ride-hailing, delivery, maps and payment services stay active even in challenging conditions like heavy rain or bright sunlight.

Beyond hardware, the series offers AI tools built for everyday needs. These include voice transcription, live translation across regional languages and photography enhancements to reduce blur and reflections. The focus here is on usability rather than specs, catering to users who need to quickly respond to customers, take orders on the move or capture clear photos of products without fuss.

Where This Fits in the Market

India's mid-range space between Rs 25,000 and Rs 35,000 is heating up fast, with buyers now expecting a lot more for their money. People want sharp cameras, quick charging, reliable performance and a phone that can take a few knocks without giving up. Many users also complain about devices getting uncomfortably warm in daily use, or worry about how long their phone will actually last with updates. That is why OPPO positions the F31 Series as a device that can handle drops, heat, and everyday wear, feels less like an extra and more like a necessity.

With prices topping out under Rs 35,000, the F31 Series finds itself competing directly with popular devices like the Vivo V60, the POCO F7, the Samsung and Galaxy A36. Each of these phones brings its own strengths in design, cameras and performance, but OPPO is hoping its focus on ruggedness, long battery life and AI-driven productivity tools will set the F31 series apart.
