In India, people are drawn to products that deliver exceptional value at an affordable price. The Tecno Spark Go 5G has been launched at Rs 9,999, suggesting that the company may have discovered the right formula to win over value-conscious Indian consumers.
Staying true to this sentiment, the brand has designed this phone to offer features rarely seen in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment. It comes with 5G carrier aggregation and 4×4 MIMO support, a first in its category. Beyond that, the smartphone also packs a few more surprises. There’s a lot to know about the Tecno Spark Go 5G.
All About the Tecno Spark Go 5G
It is the first smartphone in India to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, making it stand out in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment. Until now, most recent smartphones in this category relied on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which debuted in April 2024. Interestingly, even some smartphones priced above Rs 15,000 have been seen using the same chipset. As a result, users of those devices are not guaranteed the level of performance they expect, despite paying a higher price.
With the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 6400, I believe the Spark Go 5G has the potential to deliver the speed needed for a seamless daily experience. However, I am yet to test its performance thoroughly to confirm whether it lives up to this expectation.
On the software side, the smartphone runs HiOS 15 based on Android 15. While the brand has not revealed much about the software experience, it did highlight a few impressive features. One of them is the Ella AI Assistant, which can refine written material such as emails, facilitate live conversations between two speakers fluent in different languages, and much more. These features were previously seen only on smartphones priced above Rs 20,000. By making them available here, Tecno is redefining what users can expect from a budget-friendly device.
Another highlight of this smartphone is its design, which looks surprisingly premium for the price. The brand seems to have taken inspiration from the expected iPhone 17 Air design prototype and quickly adapted it to the Spark Go 5G. This decision has worked in its favour. A visor-style camera housing with two lenses and a flash gives the device a futuristic look. The phone also maintains a sleek profile at just 7.99 mm in thickness and weighs only 194 grams.

What makes this even more impressive is that it packs a massive 6,000mAh battery into its lightweight frame. This allows the device to deliver up to two days of usage on a single charge with moderate use.
Rounding off the feature set of the Spark Go 5G is support for 5G carrier aggregation with 4×4 MIMO. While other budget smartphones do offer 5G connectivity, users often find that they cannot take full advantage of its speed. With 4×4 MIMO, the company claims that this phone can deliver up to 30 per cent faster data speeds compared to its rivals.
Why the Tecno Spark Go 5G Could Be a Game-Changer
Given its price of Rs 9,999, the Tecno Spark Go 5G directly competes with the Redmi A4 5G, the POCO C75 5G, the Realme C73 5G, and several others. Most smartphones in this range offer nearly all the expected features, but they also come with certain limitations that may discourage potential buyers.
For example, the Redmi A4 5G is advertised to support 5G connectivity. However, users with a Jio SIM cannot take advantage of this feature because the device does not support NSA (non-standalone) 5G out of the box. Similarly, the Realme C73, launched in June 2025, relies on last year’s MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor.
The Tecno Spark Go 5G, on the other hand, seems to offer better value. It features the latest processor, includes the necessary hardware for improved network connectivity, and comes in a design that is genuinely hard to ignore.
If you want to know how well the Spark Go 5G performs in real-world usage, handles photography, and more, stay tuned to MySmartPrice. I will put it through rigorous testing to evaluate every aspect and share a detailed review with you.
