With the Realme 15 Pro, cameras have once again become a focal point for Realme’s Number series, even after multiple generations. While they mostly differed in megapixel counts on other smartphones in this series, the Realme 15 Pro brings a sense of uniformity here. The primary, ultra-wide, and front cameras are all now 50-megapixel.
Realme 15 Pro
Rs 31,999What Is Good?
- Decent camera performance
- Stunning look and comfortable to hold
- Adequate performance for everyday use
- Vivid display with amazing stereo speakers
- Exceptional battery life
What Is Bad?
- Pre-installed apps
- Colour accuracy in cameras is currently hit-or-miss
- Better options in the market for performance-centric users
- Absence of a telephoto lens
However, analysing the new 15th member against the Realme 14 Pro Plus reveals that the telephoto snapper isn’t part of its latest camera ensemble. The brand has attempted to compensate for its absence by making the phone slimmer, faster, and more battery-efficient. So, has Realme struck the right balance with the Realme 15 Pro, or does the missing lens leave a noticeable gap? Read my review to find out.
Cameras
This very aspect of the Realme 15 Pro warrants the necessity of checking every smartphone’s specification page before making a purchasing decision. While this smartphone appears to have a triple camera array, only the two cameras are dedicated to documenting memories through timeless photographs.

| Cameras | Specifications |
| Primary camera | 50-megapixel, Sony IMX896, f/1.8 (OIS) |
| Secondary camera | 50-megapixel, ultra-wide with 115.6° FOV, f/2.0 |
| Tertiary Camera | Multi-spectral sensor |
| Selfie camera | 50-megapixel, f/2.4 |
| Video capabilities | Up to 4K at 60fps for the rear and front cameras |
Fortunately, the primary camera fulfils its duty with great success. It treads quite close to capturing true colours in daylight photographs. Occasionally, these images are produced with a slightly different hue of colours, which a future software update can fix. That said, they contain significant details.
Even taking portrait images with this camera brought me gratification, considering it predominantly photographed people with excellent background separation. The subjects always came out with flattering colours and almost true-to-life skin tone. Its only snag is that minute particles like hair strands sometimes also get blurred.
The ultra-wide camera also captures photogenic scenes with rich details. However, it struggles to maintain the colour accuracy in its images, delivering them with inconsistent shades at times.
These cameras’ track record in low-light conditions is satisfactory. The duration between pressing the shutter button and receiving the photographs is almost negligible.
Moreover, these images barely divert from their original colours. They are packed with details. While extremely low-light photographs may appear brighter, their dark portions envelop considerable grains.
The front camera captures good selfies in ample lighting, but these photos generally diverge from true colours.
Design and Build Quality
Realme has genuinely enhanced the appearance of its Number series. The Realme 15 Pro appears significantly more appealing than the Realme 14 Pro Plus, largely thanks to its revamped camera module.

Undoubtedly, the round-shaped camera array on the previous generation looked good; however, it began to stand out like a sore thumb. Now, the separated triangular placement with coloured-accent rings looks sophisticated and contributes significantly to the phone’s overall design. Even the Flowing Silver variant I received is stunning. Fortunately, it also specialises in fending off fingerprints.
- Colour Options: Velvet Green, Silk Purple, and Flowing Silver (Reviewed)
- Weight: 187g
- Thickness: 7.79mm
- IP Rating: IP69
- Port and Button Placements
-
- Bottom: Primary microphone, USB port, SIM-card tray, and speaker grille
- Top: Secondary microphone and IR blaster
- Right side: Power button and volume button
However, the real star of the show is the Realme 15 Pro’s sleek profile. The 7.79-mm-thick chamfered edges and lightweight structure exponentially make it comfortable to hold and use for hours.

By the way, did I mention that this smartphone features a 7,000mAh battery? This fact alone makes the Realme 15 Pro more impressive in terms of design. The cherry on the cake is that it comes with an IP69 rating, enabling you to capture moments underwater. However, reading the fine print before such action is strongly advised.
Battery
Following the design aspect, the Realme 15 Pro has scored another home run in the battery department as well. Its 7,000mAh battery, combined with the all-new efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Processor, helped it last for 22 hours and three minutes on our PCMark Battery test. It has effortlessly joined the ranks of top performers in its segment, including the iQOO Neo 10.
Its real-world performance was equally impressive, as I managed to get more than a day’s worth of battery life during my moderate usage. With the 80W charger-in-the-box, I completely charged its battery in an hour and 15 minutes.
Performance and Software
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC has made its official debut in India with the Realme 15 Pro. Realme’s handling of its performance is praiseworthy, as I never felt the need for more power to complete my regular chores, including watching videos, spending hours on the Instagram Reels feed, and casual gaming.
| Hardware | Specifications |
| RAM | Up to 12GB LPDDR4X |
| Storage | Up to 512GB UFS 3.1 |
| Storage Test | 117461 |
| CPU Throttling Test | 87 per cent of its max performance |
| Software Version | Realme UI 6.0, based on Android 15 |
| Connectivity Details | Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6 |
| Number of Software Updates | 2 years of software updates and 3 years of security patch updates |
However, as I pushed the smartphone further by playing Wuthering Waves, a graphically intensive game, I realised that performance-centric users should look for other options.

Considering the game was set at High settings with a 60fps frame rate, I seldom noticed this number on the frame per second meter. Rather, it hovered around 47fps with some perceptible frame drops.
Even the Realme 15 Pro’s performance in benchmarks further corroborates my opinion.
Speaking of software, the Realme UI 6.0, based on Android 15, is almost outstanding here. Whether it’s smooth app-opening animation, numerous customisations, or several AI-powered features, you name it — it has everything on the Realme 15 Pro.

Particularly, the AI Edit Genie on the Photos app is straight-up insane, as it can edit your image to absolute perfection with well-tailored audio/text prompts. However, the existence of pre-installed apps somewhat mars its experience.
Display and Audio Quality
Watching the emotionally charged episode of the One Piece series on the Realme 15 Pro’s display was genuinely a highlight of my week using it.

To start with, the 4D curved screen, paired with slim bezels, provided me with an uninterrupted, immersive experience. Furthermore, each scene was vividly rendered with a burst of rich colours and incredible details.
- Size: 6.8-inch
- Type: 4D Curve+ AMOLED
- Resolution: 1280*2800 pixels
- Refresh Rate: 120Hz
- Display Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass 7i
- Peak Brightness
- Claimed: 6500 nits
- Tested: 2200 nits
- Minimum: 06 nits
Regarding its brightness, outdoor visibility is not a problem on this display, as it remains quite bright even at a quarter of the maximum brightness.
Fortunately, Realme hasn’t cut corners on the Realme 15 Pro’s audio quality. Its stereo speakers produce loud, bright music with decent bass for any smartphone.
Verdict
The Realme 15 Pro is surprisingly a great overall package with fewer shortcomings. Although the absence of a telephoto lens may cause unease, the combined performance of existing cameras almost makes up for it. They largely capture flattering images in various lighting conditions. That said, their colour science is somewhat inconsistent, which is something a software update can fix, and we have already alerted Realme about this. Aside from this, it delivers exceptional quality in key areas, including battery, design, and a comprehensive multimedia experience.
Its software has almost all the essential features that make a user interface outstanding. However, the presence of pre-installed apps slightly detracts from its charm. While its performance is ideal for smooth everyday use, its competitors, including the OnePlus Nord 5, iQOO Neo 10, and POCO F7, offer better performance for users who prioritise peak performance.
