Setup
The Google Nest Cam (battery) setup is straightforward and, in our opinion, do-it-yourself (do-it-yourself). It may either be magnetically attached to a metallic surface or fastened to the wall with two screws.
Alerts
You may choose the region, or what the Google Home app refers to as the "Activity Zone," that you want to keep an eye on. The Nest Cam notifies you when it detects a human, animal, or vehicle and sends you motion alerts.
Relay
The Nest Cam comes with a speaker and a microphone that allows easy communication. All of this is possible from anywhere when you’re connected to an active internet.
Footage
The Nest Cam provides clear videos with sufficient detail. The camera also has night vision, which ensures a clear image even in complete darkness and low light. It's great that the live footage is accessible in 1080p resolution.
History
You may get up to 30 or 60 days of Event Video History and 10 days of continuous video recording history with the Tata Play Secure+ and, of course, the Nest Aware Subscription.
Design
Thanks to a robust design, the Nest Cam can be fitted in any corner, and its battery-powered means can continue to function even if there’s a power cut.
Experience
The Google Nest Cam's battery proved to be incredibly helpful. On your linked phone, it provides a live stream constantly. The pop-up provides descriptors like "Person spotted" in the activity zone, and the notification alerts are prompt.
Verdict
If you have the budget and want the absolute best for your home security solution, then the Google Nest Cam (battery) is an excellent choice.
