One of the game’s strengths is that it knows what it is and doesn’t try to cram ideas or gameplay mechanics from other games of a similar scale.
The game's UI is simple and free of clutter, allowing the user to immerse themselves in the beautifully constructed environment.
Aside from the lovely graphic style, the game's finest visual component is the excellent use of lighting.
Stray brings out the big storytelling guns, and the player is cued into the game's plot points and story beats without a line of intelligible dialogue.
Stray keeps it extremely simple and elegant and the game seems to have virtually little to no fat on its bones.
