Micromax announced the release of the Micromax Selfie 3, a device aimed at selfie enthusiasts, with its powerful primary camera. It one of the few phones in which the secondary camera is more powerful than the primary. It is available in two colours, Black and Blue.

The Micromax Selfie 3 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1920x1080. The 2.5D glass enveloping the display gives it a nice aesthetic feel and makes for a better typing experience. The primary camera is 13-megapixels with LED flash and Sony's proprietary image sensor. The secondary camera is 16-megapixels with a wide aperture lens and LED flash, to assist in low light photography. The performance of the rear camera is satisfying, if not exceptional, whereas the secondary camera shines in that regard. The quality of selfies captured by the camera is excellent and can be compared with phones that are twice its worth.

The Micromax Selfie 3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 clocked at 1.4GHz, along with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to128GB via microSD card. The battery is a non-removable 3,000mAh Li-ion unit, which unfortunately lacks support for any version of Quick Charge. As a bonus, the device also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which gives it a more premium feel. It is expected to run Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box.

The Micromax Selfie 3 is a dual SIM phone, with both SIM card slots compatible with 4G and VoLTE. Other connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer.
