Verdict

The Redmi 12 is that affordable 5G kid on the block, offering decent bang for your buck. It packs in 5G compatibility, solid battery life, and a respectable display for its price tag. With a spacious 6.79-inch FHD+ LCD display rocking a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, your visuals are crisp and fluid indoors, though it might struggle a bit under bright sunlight. In the camera department, you're looking at a 50MP main shooter and a 2MP depth camera—no ultra-wide camera here, unfortunately. Selfie-wise, there's an 8MP front-facing camera. While it holds its own in well-lit conditions, low-light shots leave something to be desired. It's powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, chugging along smoothly for your everyday tasks but stumbling a bit when it comes to gaming. With a hearty 5000mAh battery, it's got the juice to keep you going through the day. It runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13, but be prepared for a bit of bloatware out of the box. At Rs. 11,999, this 5G smartphone checks off most of the boxes, making it a worthy contender for budget-conscious buyers.
