Philips Launches Six New Soundbars in India With Up to 600W Output and Dolby Audio

TPV Technology India has expanded its Philips audio portfolio in India with the launch of six new soundbars across 2.1-channel and 5.1-channel configurations. The new lineup delivers output ranging from 100W to 600W and comes equipped with connectivity options including Bluetooth, USB, HDMI ARC, Optical, and AUX. The soundbars are now available via Flipkart and select offline retail stores across the country.

Philips Introduces Five New 2.1-Channel Soundbars

The new Philips soundbar range includes five 2.1-channel models designed for different room sizes and usage requirements. Each model ships with a dedicated subwoofer and support for Bluetooth audio streaming, HDMI ARC connectivity, Optical input, USB playback, and AUX support.

The entry-level Philips TAB4301/94 delivers 100W output through a 5.5-inch subwoofer. Moving up the lineup, the TAB5321/94 offers 200W output with Dolby Audio support and is priced at Rs. 17,999. The TAB4361/94 delivers 160W output paired with a 5.5-inch subwoofer, while the TAB4230/94 steps up to 300W output and a larger 6-inch subwoofer. The latter is priced at Rs. 19,999. At the top of the 2.1-channel lineup sits the TAB5341/94, which combines 400W output with an 8-inch subwoofer and Dolby Audio support, priced at Rs. 29,999.

TAB5651/94 Brings 600W 5.1 Surround Sound

Leading the new range is the Philips TAB5651/94, a 5.1-channel home theatre system that delivers up to 600W output. The soundbar includes an 8-inch wired subwoofer and dedicated satellite speakers to create a true surround sound experience. It also supports Dolby Digital decoding and offers the same connectivity suite as the rest of the lineup, including Bluetooth, USB, HDMI ARC, Optical, and AUX. Philips has not yet disclosed pricing for this model.

Commenting on the launch, Sajeev Rajasekharan, Managing Director of TPV Technology India, said the new range is designed to bring premium audio experiences to Indian consumers across different price points while maintaining a focus on sound quality, design, and connectivity.

Philips Targets India's Growing Home Audio Segment

The launch reflects growing demand for affordable home entertainment products as larger televisions and streaming services become increasingly common in Indian households. With pricing starting at Rs. 17,999 for the TAB5321/94 and going up to Rs. 29,999 for the flagship TAB5341/94, Philips is targeting the mid-range soundbar segment currently dominated by brands such as Sony, JBL, Zebronics, and Boat.

One point worth noting is that Philips is advertising maximum power output figures rather than RMS output, which is generally considered a more accurate representation of sustained audio performance. The company has also not disclosed detailed driver specifications, frequency response figures, or RMS ratings for the new models. As a result, real-world performance comparisons with competing soundbars may require hands-on testing beyond the headline wattage numbers.
