vivo has expanded beyond smartphones with the launch of the vivo Buds in India. The new truly wireless earbuds bring features such as up to 50 hours of total battery life, Spatial Audio, AI-powered call noise cancellation and Bluetooth 6.1. The earbuds are designed as an everyday audio companion for music, calls, gaming and entertainment.
vivo Buds Features and Specifications
The vivo Buds feature a 10mm High-Resolution Speaker Driver designed to deliver detailed vocals, clear highs and responsive bass. The driver uses a combination of flexible PU material and lightweight, high-rigidity PEEK to reduce distortion and improve sound detail.
Users can customise the audio experience through a 10-band EQ, while dedicated sound effects include Mega Bass, Clear Voice and Clear High Pitch modes. There is also a dedicated Audiobook Listening mode for longer spoken-content sessions. The earbuds support Spatial Audio with four modes, namely Theater, Concert Hall, Studio and Live Concert. The feature is designed to create a wider and more immersive soundstage for music, movies and gaming, although it requires compatible vivo devices.
For calls, the vivo Buds come with Dual-Mic AI Call Noise Cancellation. The system uses AI and deep-learning algorithms to identify surrounding sounds while retaining and enhancing human voices. vivo says this can help reduce distractions such as traffic horns and wind noise during calls. The earbuds also use a Cross-Flow Duct Design to improve wind-noise resistance. The design redirects airflow away from the microphone's sound inlet, while a dedicated chamber slows the airflow to help maintain clearer voice pickup.
Battery life is one of the major highlights of the vivo Buds. The earbuds offer up to 50 hours of total playback with the charging case, while a single charge provides up to 12 hours of music playback. A 10-minute quick charge can provide up to 4 hours of music playback, according to vivo. For calls, the earbuds offer up to 7 hours of talk time on a single charge.
The vivo Buds feature Bluetooth 6.1 along with a redesigned antenna aimed at providing a faster and more stable wireless connection. They also support Bluetooth Multipoint Connection, allowing the earbuds to remain connected to two devices simultaneously.
For gaming, the earbuds offer 42ms latency, designed to keep audio and visuals more closely synchronised. Users can switch between compatible smartphones, tablets and PCs without having to repeatedly pair the earbuds. The earbuds also support Instant Pairing, Find My vivo Buds and Remote Camera Control on compatible vivo smartphones. Touch controls can be customised through double-tap, triple-tap and touch-and-hold gestures.
Each vivo Bud weighs approximately 3.8 grams, making them particularly lightweight for extended use. vivo says its design team studied thousands of real human ear impressions while developing the shape and silicone tips to improve overall comfort. The earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for everyday use and protection against minor splashes.
The vivo Buds are also designed to integrate with the vivo ecosystem. On compatible smartphones running OriginOS, users can access audio controls, equaliser settings and Spatial Audio modes without requiring a third-party app. The earbuds also feature a personalised pet-themed pop-up interface that appears when the charging case is opened on supported vivo phones. Despite the ecosystem integration, vivo Buds can also be used with other smartphone platforms through third-party interoperability.

The vivo Buds are priced at Rs 1,999, inclusive of taxes, in India. They will be available starting September 10 through the vivo India e-store, Flipkart and leading retail partner outlets across the country. The earbuds are offered in Nilgiri Green and Basalt Black.
At Rs 1,999, the vivo Buds are clearly aimed at users looking for an affordable pair of wireless earbuds without giving up features that are usually associated with more expensive models.
