Dell Technologies has unveiled a range of new consumer products at Computex 2026, headlined by the redesigned XPS 13 laptop and Alienware's latest gaming monitor lineup. The announcements mark a renewed focus on premium ultraportable computing and next-generation gaming displays, with Dell introducing its thinnest and lightest XPS laptop ever while Alienware celebrates its 30th anniversary with what it claims is the world's first 39-inch 5K OLED gaming monitor. Pricing for both product families will be announced closer to launch.
New XPS 13 Focuses on Portability and Battery Life
Dell says the new XPS 13 is the thinnest and lightest XPS laptop it has ever built, measuring 12.75mm thick and weighing just 1kg. The laptop is aimed at students and young professionals, combining a compact aluminium chassis with premium features typically found in higher-end devices.
The laptop features a 2.5K LCD touchscreen with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and a variable refresh rate that automatically adjusts between 30Hz and 120Hz depending on usage. Intel Wi-Fi 7, a backlit keyboard, and touchscreen functionality come standard across all configurations.
Under the hood, the XPS 13 is powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors, with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 variants expected after launch. Buyers can configure the laptop with up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB SSD storage. Dell also claims up to 17 hours of Netflix streaming on a single charge, supported by a dual-fan cooling system designed to balance performance and efficiency.
Alienware Unveils World's First 39-Inch 5K OLED Gaming Monitor
On the gaming front, Alienware introduced four new gaming monitors, led by the flagship AW3926QW. The monitor features a 39-inch 5120 x 2160 OLED panel with a 1500R curvature and new RGB stripe tandem OLED technology that enables peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits while maintaining OLED's signature contrast and colour accuracy.
One of the monitor's standout features is its dual-mode operation. Users can run it at native 5K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate for immersive gaming and productivity or switch to 1080p at 330Hz for competitive esports titles. The display also offers a 0.03ms response time, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, Dolby Vision support, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
Connectivity options include DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 with eARC, USB-C with 90W Power Delivery, and a built-in KVM switch. Alienware is also backing the monitor with a three-year burn-in warranty.
AW3426DW Refreshes Alienware's Popular Ultrawide OLED
Alienware also updated its popular 34-inch ultrawide OLED monitor with the new AW3426DW. The display moves to a five-stack Penta Tandem OLED architecture, increasing peak brightness from 1,000 nits to 1,300 nits while boosting the refresh rate from 240Hz to 280Hz. The monitor also receives a new anti-reflective coating that Alienware says reduces glare by up to 30%, alongside Dolby Vision support and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
Dell Expands Premium Portfolio Across Productivity and Gaming
Together, the new XPS 13 and Alienware monitor lineup highlight Dell's dual strategy of targeting both productivity-focused users and gaming enthusiasts. While the XPS 13 focuses on portability, battery life, and premium design in the increasingly competitive ultraportable segment, Alienware is pushing display technology forward with brighter OLED panels, higher refresh rates, and new form factors.
The success of both product lines will ultimately depend on pricing, which Dell has yet to reveal. However, the announcements signal a clear effort to strengthen Dell's position across both premium laptop and gaming hardware categories heading into the second half of 2026.
