HMD has announced that the Vibe2 5G will be back on sale in India starting June 3 via Flipkart. The smartphone will be available from 12 PM onwards. The HMD Vibe2 5G is positioned in the highly competitive sub-Rs. 15,000 segment and comes with Android 16, a 6,000mAh battery, a 50MP dual rear camera setup, and support for Indus by Sarvam AI.

HMD Vibe2 5G Features Android 16 and 6,000mAh Battery

The HMD Vibe2 5G is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.3GHz and is paired with 128GB of storage. The device runs Android 16 out of the box and is backed by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging using the bundled charger.

The smartphone also features a 120Hz refresh rate display designed to deliver smoother scrolling and improved responsiveness during daily use. HMD has included an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, adding an extra layer of durability for everyday usage.

50MP Dual AI Camera and India-Focused Features

For photography, the HMD Vibe2 5G features a 50MP dual AI rear camera system. On the front, the device includes an 8MP selfie camera designed for portraits and low-light selfies.

One of the key highlights of the smartphone is the inclusion of Indus by Sarvam AI, making it one of the first devices in its segment to offer the India-focused AI platform. HMD says its partnerships with Sarvam AI, Sanchar Saathi, and Flipkart Unique are aimed at bringing localized innovation, digital safety features, and accessible technology experiences to Indian consumers.

HMD Continues to Focus on the Budget 5G Segment

The HMD Vibe2 5G will go on sale via Flipkart starting June 3, 2026, at 12 PM. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 12,499.

The return of the Vibe2 5G highlights HMD's continued focus on the affordable 5G smartphone category, where battery life, durability, and software experience remain key buying factors. The combination of Android 16, a large 6,000mAh battery, 120Hz display, and IP64 protection gives the device a well-rounded specification sheet for its price segment.

At Rs. 12,499, the Vibe2 5G enters a crowded market dominated by Xiaomi, POCO, realme, and Motorola. While its hardware specifications are competitive on paper, HMD appears to be differentiating the device through localized AI features and a clean software experience rather than purely chasing benchmark performance.
