Lava has expanded its Bold series in India with the launch of the Lava Bold N2 5G. The latest budget 5G smartphone from the homegrown brand focuses on everyday users looking for long battery life, a high refresh rate display, and a clean software experience.
The Bold N2 5G enters the competitive sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone segment, where brands are increasingly focusing on bigger batteries and smoother displays. Lava is positioning the device around its 6000mAh battery, Android 16 experience without ads or bloatware, and its Free Service @ Home after-sales support.
Lava Bold N2 5G Price in India and Availability
The Lava Bold N2 5G is priced at Rs 12,999 for the sole 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. As part of the launch offer, the smartphone will be available for Rs 11,999.
The device will go on sale starting June 9 at 12 PM exclusively via Amazon. Buyers will be able to choose between two colour options: Regal Gold and Billionaire Blue.
Lava Bold N2 5G Features and Specifications
The Lava Bold N2 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone also comes with an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes, which adds some durability for everyday usage.
Powering the smartphone is the 6nm UNISOC T8200 octa-core chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone also supports up to 4GB of virtual RAM expansion. Lava claims the device delivers an AnTuTu v11 score of over 5 lakh.
For optics, the Bold N2 5G gets a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone runs Android 16 and Lava claims it offers a clean software experience without ads or bloatware.
The smartphone packs a 6000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. Lava claims the battery can deliver up to 815 minutes of YouTube playback and up to 743 minutes of screen-on time. The company is bundling a 10W charger, Type-C cable, and protection cover in the box.
Tapping The Budget 5G Segment
The sub-Rs 15,000 segment has seen aggressive competition from brands offering AMOLED displays, faster charging, and higher-resolution cameras. Lava's approach with the Bold N2 5G appears focused on core smartphone needs, including battery life, clean Android software, durability, and after-sales support. Lava has been trying to have a strong presence in this segment. However, it does face healthy competition from Infinix and Techno.
Apart from the Stock Android UI, the company has also been focusing on its Free Service @ Home program to be a key differentiator. It is also aggressively communicating about an Indian brand that designs in India and not just manufacturers. However, the Indian consumers are far more skeptical and want to invest in smartphones that perform well on benchmarks and in real life. To test that and more, we will be looking at getting our hands on Bold N2 and sharing our feedback. So stay tuned for the same.
