Oppo Reno 16 And Reno 16c Launches In India: Price, Specifications, And More

OPPO has officially launched the Reno 16 and Reno 16c in India, expanding its premium mid-range smartphone portfolio with two devices that focus on cameras, battery life, durability, and AI-powered features. The new smartphones arrive just weeks after making their debut in China, although the Indian Reno 16 differs from its Chinese counterpart by featuring Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon chipset instead of a MediaTek processor.

The Reno 16 is positioned as the more premium offering with flagship-grade cameras and a brighter display, while the Reno 16c aims to deliver a similar experience at a more accessible price point with a larger battery.

The Reno 16 series is available in Starry White, Stellar Purple, and Twilight Violet colour options.

Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16c specifications

Both smartphones ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box and feature AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard Reno 16 sports a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED panel with a 1216×2640 resolution, 460ppi pixel density, and an impressive 3,500 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, the Reno 16c features a larger 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 1080×2372 resolution, 397ppi pixel density, and up to 1,400 nits peak brightness.

One of the biggest changes in the Indian variant is the processor. Unlike the Chinese model, the Reno 16 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The Reno 16c uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with LPDDR4X RAM and the same storage options.

Both devices support in-display fingerprint scanning and face unlock.

Photography remains a major focus for the Reno lineup. The Reno 16 features a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera offering an 80mm equivalent focal length. The Reno 16c retains the same primary and telephoto cameras but swaps the ultrawide sensor for an 8MP camera. Both phones feature a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery life is another highlight. The Reno 16 packs a 6,700mAh battery, while the Reno 16c ups the capacity to 7,000mAh. Both support 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up their devices.

On the durability front, OPPO has equipped both smartphones with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings, making them among the most rugged smartphones in their segment.

Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. The Reno 16 measures 151.21 × 72.42 × 8.36mm and weighs 193g, while the larger Reno 16c measures 158.16 × 74.92 × 8.58mm and weighs 197g.
