Samsung has opened pre-reservations for its next-generation Galaxy foldables in India ahead of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 22. It is noteworthy that Samsung has not officially confirmed the names of the devices, the upcoming lineup is expected to include the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and potentially a new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Foldables Pre-Reservation Details
Customers can pre-reserve Samsung’s upcoming foldables by paying a refundable token amount of Rs. 999. The offer is available through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, Amazon India, Flipkart, and leading offline retail stores across the country.
Those who complete the pre-reservation will receive launch benefits worth Rs. 2,799 when purchasing the new Galaxy foldables after they go on sale. Samsung has not yet detailed what these benefits include.
Ahead of the launch, Samsung said its upcoming foldable smartphones continue its focus on making the devices thinner, lighter, stronger, and more immersive. The company also reiterated that the new generation will combine AI-powered experiences with new form factors to deliver more personalised and adaptive user experiences. The teaser aligns with Samsung’s recent messaging around Galaxy AI, suggesting that AI features will play a central role across the upcoming foldable lineup.
Galaxy Unpacked Scheduled for July 22
Samsung has already confirmed that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 22 in London. The launch event will begin at 6:30 PM IST and will be streamed live through Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and the company’s official YouTube channel.
The event is widely expected to introduce Samsung’s next-generation foldables alongside the Galaxy Watch 9 series and other Galaxy ecosystem products.
Samsung is sticking to a familiar strategy by opening pre-reservations ahead of Galaxy Unpacked, giving interested buyers an easy way to secure launch-day benefits without committing to a purchase immediately. While the Rs. 2,799 pre-reservation benefit isn’t substantial compared to previous years, it signals that the company is gearing up for another aggressive foldable push in India. The bigger questions, however, will be around pricing, durability improvements, and how Samsung differentiates the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 in an increasingly competitive foldable market.
