Samsung has added a new incentive for early buyers of its upcoming Galaxy S-series smartphones in India, offering a free memory upgrade for customers who pre-reserve the device ahead of the February 25 Galaxy Unpacked event.
Customers who pre-reserve Samsung’s next Galaxy S smartphone will receive a complimentary storage upgrade from 256GB to 512GB at no additional cost. The offer is available by paying a refundable token amount of Rs 999, valid until the official launch later this month.
This announcement builds on Samsung’s ongoing pre-launch strategy for its 2026 Galaxy S lineup, following the confirmation of the Galaxy Unpacked event date and the opening of pre-reserves earlier this week. With the addition of a storage upgrade, Samsung is clearly pushing to lock in early demand ahead of the global unveiling.
Alongside the memory upgrade, Samsung says pre-reserving customers will also receive additional benefits worth Rs 2,699 when they complete the purchase of the new Galaxy S-series device. Pre-reserves are open across Samsung’s official website, Samsung Exclusive Stores, major e-commerce platforms, and leading offline retail outlets across India.
While Samsung has yet to reveal full specifications, the company continues to position the upcoming Galaxy S series as its most AI-centric smartphone lineup yet. The new models are expected to showcase deeper Galaxy AI integration, with a focus on simplifying everyday interactions and enhancing on-device intelligence from the first use.
From a market perspective, the free storage upgrade is a strategic move in a segment where base storage capacities have become a key buying factor, especially as AI features, high-resolution video, and computational photography increasingly demand more onboard space. Offering 512GB at the entry point also allows Samsung to strengthen its value proposition without directly cutting prices ahead of launch.
Samsung will officially unveil the next Galaxy S-series smartphones at its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25 in San Francisco. Pricing, availability timelines, and full hardware details are expected to be announced at the event.
