The Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 is about to come to an end. Much like the earlier iterations, this year too, the event was buzzing with action. The biggest names in tech came under one roof to showcase technological innovations and interesting gadgets. Many new startups were part of the conclave and showcased what they have in store. All in all, we had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of what the smarter, more connected future will look like. So, let’s take a closer look at what the coolest and most exciting tech the IMC 2025 had to offer.
MediaTek
MediaTek Dimensity 9500
MediaTek has showcased the Dimensity 9500 SoC, which will power the next generation of flagship smartphones, at IMC 2025. Built on a third-generation all-big-core CPU design, the chipset features one 4.21GHz ultra-core, three premium cores, and four performance cores, which the company claims can deliver up to 32 per cent higher single-core and 17 per cent better multi-core performance compared to its predecessor.

It also introduces the Arm G1-Ultra GPU, which offers up to 33 per cent improved graphics and 42 per cent higher power efficiency, enabling console-level ray tracing and more immersive visuals on mobile. During the showcase, MediaTek demonstrated real-world AI capabilities such as 4K text-to-image generation, image-to-image rendering, and advanced Unreal Engine graphics through Nanite and Mega Light technologies.

The OPPO Find X9 Series will be the first smartphone lineup globally to feature the Dimensity 9500 chipset, highlighting the brand’s continued focus on AI-driven performance and design innovation. OPPO confirmed that the Find X9 Series will launch in India next month, aiming to deliver what it calls a true flagship experience built around intelligence, performance, and efficiency
Airtel
Intelligent Fraud Detection System
Airtel has introduced a new AI-powered system that alerts and protects users from online scams. It is an extension of its proprietary spam detection tool, launched last year.

The process works by scanning messages received across various channels, identifying links, and cross-checking them against an existing database. When it detects something suspicious, it promptly alerts users and helps them decide whether to proceed.
Business Name Display

As the name suggests, the Business Name Display feature helps consumers identify legitimate businesses and detect fraudsters when receiving an unknown call by flashing the brand’s name, if it has registered with Airtel.
Jio
Jio Home IoT
Jio gave a glimpse of the smart home powered by its connected IoT technology. At the heart of the whole ecosystem is the Jio setup box, through which users can control various smart home appliances.

In one of the demos, the exhibitor representative adjusted the brightness of a smart lamp directly from the setup box. Upon speaking with the representative, I learnt that users are currently limited to experiencing the Jio Home feature through the setup box; however, they can control non-Jio proprietary appliances through it.
Jio Games
Jio Games is proving to be a boon for aspirational gamers, as it enables them to enjoy console-level AAA titles on their TV without the need for high-end hardware.

Essentially, it is a cloud gaming platform accessible through the Jio setup box. During its demo, attendees had the opportunity to duel it out on Tekken 7, showcasing the platform’s low-latency capabilities.
Jio PC
Jio PC is another Jio cloud-based service accessible on the Jio set-top box.

It is an application on the set-top box, where users can access a cloud PC to perform their regular computing tasks, such as browsing the internet, using office applications, streaming media, and running compatible software, all without needing a physical PC.
Jio Fitness
Jio Fitness is genuinely a commendable innovation, as it motivates users to adopt a healthier lifestyle by gamifying their fitness journey.

The system works by displaying videos of people exercising, prompting users to follow their movements, and scoring them based on their activity tracked through a webcam. For clarity, we need a Jio setup box to access this feature.
Jio Bharat Phone
Jio Bharat Phone has also been exhibited at the Jio Pavilion.

What’s special about this feature phone is that it is equipped with a location tracking system, which helps users monitor the whereabouts of their elders and receive quick alerts when they exceed the set area. Apart from this, it offers a suite of Jio-owned entertainment apps like Jio Cinema and Jio TV.
Vi
Vi CyberShield
Vi has undertaken a noble initiative to educate people hailing from a village with limited formal education about online financial literacy and similar topics.

It aims to create a portable kiosk with an interactive touchscreen, encouraging users to answer a set of questions about important subjects and learn through visual arts.
Qualcomm
XR Glasses
Qualcomm has showcased its XR Glass, a lightweight AR headset designed to deliver immersive experiences. It uses on-board AI processing to enable real-time translation and interactive AR demos.

During one demonstration, visitors could manipulate virtual objects and navigate digital content entirely through the headset, without needing a connected phone. Currently, the XR Glass ecosystem supports Qualcomm-enabled apps, though compatible AR software can also be integrated.
Samsung
Samsung put its weight behind an “AI for All” vision, showing how artificial intelligence can enhance daily life, from homes and classrooms to cities and networks. Its pavilion included five immersive zones featuring AI-powered experiences in productivity, sustainability, and education.

Senior government officials toured the exhibits and tried Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra, Z Fold7, and Z Flip7, which use Galaxy AI features such as Live Translate, Note Assist, and Circle to Search. Samsung also demonstrated its SmartThings ecosystem linking thousands of devices and its AI for Education programme aimed at digital inclusion. The company used the event to reaffirm its commitment to India’s connected future, combining global innovation with local partnerships to create technology that is practical, intelligent, and sustainable.
In a Nutshell
IMC 2025 offered a fascinating glimpse into India’s tech future, with innovations spanning AI-driven fraud detection, cloud gaming, smart home ecosystems, and immersive AR experiences. From Airtel and Jio to Vi, MediaTek, and Qualcomm, the event highlighted how technology is increasingly blending convenience, entertainment, and education for users across the country.
