Vivo T5x 5G Gets New Fusion Red Colour Variant in India With Up to Rs. 2,000 Instant Discount

Vivo has expanded its T5x 5G lineup in India with a new Fusion Red colour variant, giving buyers another aesthetic option without changing the smartphone's hardware or pricing. The new variant is available starting today via the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart and authorised retail stores. Rather than refreshing the hardware, Vivo is extending the lifecycle of one of its strongest-performing mid-range smartphones through a new finish that targets users looking for something more vibrant.

Vivo T5X Specifications And Features

The biggest talking point of the Vivo T5x 5G remains its 7,200mAh battery, paired with 44W FlashCharge support. Vivo also claims the battery is designed to retain at least 80 percent health after up to six years of typical usage, making longevity one of the phone's strongest selling points.

For buyers who prioritise battery life over ultra-thin designs, this continues to be one of the more compelling options in its price segment.

Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo, which Vivo says delivers an AnTuTu score exceeding one million. The phone is paired with UFS 3.1 storage and supports up to 8GB Extended RAM, helping improve multitasking and faster app loading.

The company is clearly positioning the T5x 5G as a performance-first smartphone rather than simply competing on design.

Unlike many smartphones in this category, the Vivo T5x 5G combines MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance. It also features reinforced internal cushioning and strengthened cover glass to improve durability during everyday use.

This combination is still relatively uncommon in the mid-range segment and gives Vivo an additional talking point beyond raw specifications.

The smartphone sports a 6.76-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits High Brightness Mode, paired with dual stereo speakers capable of up to 400 percent volume amplification. Vivo has also included gaming features such as Boost Mode, 4D Game Vibration, and support for up to 60FPS gameplay in BGMI and Free Fire.

For photography, the T5x 5G features a 50MP Sony primary camera, a 2MP bokeh sensor, and a 32MP selfie camera, alongside AI features like AI Erase, AI UHD, Super Night Mode and 4K video recording from both front and rear cameras.

Running OriginOS 6, the smartphone includes features such as AI Transcript Assist, Circle to Search, AI Search, AI Captions, AI Creation Tools, Private Space and Origin Island. Vivo has also committed to two years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches, adding long-term value for buyers planning to keep the device for several years.

Pricing And Availability

The Fusion Red edition retains the same specifications as the original T5x 5G, meaning buyers aren't paying extra for a different colour or sacrificing any features.

Available variants include:

  • 6GB + 128GB: Rs. 24,999
  • 8GB + 128GB: Rs. 27,999
  • 8GB + 256GB: Rs. 30,999

With launch offers applied, effective prices drop to Rs. 22,999, Rs. 25,999, and Rs. 28,999, respectively.

If you were already considering the Vivo T5x 5G, the Fusion Red version simply gives you another design option without affecting performance or pricing. Existing owners won't find any hardware upgrades here, but new buyers who prefer a bolder finish now have an additional choice.

Colour refreshes often feel like routine product updates, but they usually indicate that a device is performing well enough for a brand to extend its shelf life instead of replacing it. The Vivo T5x 5G already stands out with its large battery, durability credentials and performance-focused hardware. The Fusion Red edition simply adds more personality to a smartphone that already has a strong feature set, making it easier for Vivo to keep the T5x relevant in one of India's most competitive price segments.
