Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi Pad 2 Pro in India, Expanding Its Everyday Device Ecosystem

Designed for heavy, all-day usage, the Redmi Note 15 5G places strong emphasis on durability and endurance. The smartphone features reinforced internals tested using MIL-STD-810H standards, an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, and Hydro Touch 2.0, which allows the display to remain responsive even when wet.

For photography, the Redmi Note 15 5G is equipped with a 108MP MasterPixel Dual AI camera, featuring the global debut of Samsung’s ISOCELL HM9 sensor. Optical image stabilisation supports sharper photos and steadier 4K video recording, while 3× in-sensor zoom is designed to maintain clarity across different shooting scenarios. A 20MP front camera with automatic field-of-view adjustment adapts to both solo and group selfies.

The phone is powered by a 5520mAh silicon-carbon battery, paired with 45W fast charging and 18W wired reverse charging. Xiaomi claims the battery is engineered for long-term durability, targeting consistent performance over years of daily use.

Up front is a 17.2cm curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 3200 nits, 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage, and TÜV Triple Eye Protection. Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support handle audio duties.

Performance is driven by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform, with the device running Android 15-based Xiaomi HyperOS 2. Xiaomi has committed to four years of software updates and six years of security updates, with future readiness for HyperOS 3. The phone also supports Google Gemini and Circle to Search for AI-assisted features.

It features a 30.73cm 2.5K display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 120Hz AdaptiveSync, paired with Dolby Vision support and TÜV Triple Eye Protection for extended viewing sessions.

A key highlight is its 12,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims is the largest in its category. The tablet supports 33W fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging, allowing it to power other devices when required. Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, aimed at delivering stable multitasking and consistent performance across demanding applications.

Audio is delivered through a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, making the tablet suitable for shared viewing, online classes, and immersive entertainment. Running Xiaomi HyperOS 2, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro supports cross-device features such as Home Screen+, Shared Clipboard, Call Sync, and Network Sync, enabling seamless interaction with other Xiaomi devices.
