Motorola has announced the availability of the moto pad 70 in India, bringing a large 12.1-inch 2.5K display, 5G connectivity, a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, and a massive 10,200mAh battery to the tablet segment.
Motorola pad 70 Specifications And Features
The moto pad 70 measures just 6.29mm in thickness and weighs 530 grams, with Motorola positioning it as the segment’s thinnest and lightest 5G tablet. It comes with a premium all-metal body finished in PANTONE Sea Angel. The tablet is designed for users who want a portable device for productivity, learning, creativity, and entertainment.
The tablet features a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with up to 800 nits brightness, 96% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and TÜV Rheinland certification. Motorola says the display is designed for everything from streaming and gaming to online classes and document work. Audio is handled by quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.
For productivity, the moto pad 70 comes bundled with a moto pen, allowing users to write, sketch, annotate documents, and take notes. Motorola has also integrated AI Writing Tools, AI Notes, Circle to Search with Google, and Google Gemini. The tablet supports Smart Connect and can be paired with the optional moto folio keyboard, which uses a magnetic attachment and includes a dedicated holder for the moto pen.
Under the hood, the moto pad 70 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card. The tablet also gets 5G connectivity, making it possible to stay connected for downloads, video calls, and streaming without relying entirely on Wi-Fi.
Battery life is another major highlight. The moto pad 70 packs a 10,200mAh battery and supports 68W TurboPower charging. Motorola claims up to 13 hours of YouTube streaming on a single charge, although actual battery life will vary depending on usage and network conditions.
Motorola pad 70 Price in India, Availability
The moto pad 70 8GB + 256GB is priced at Rs 33,999. Buyers can avail a Rs 4,000 instant bank discount, bringing the effective price to Rs 29,999. The tablet is available through Flipkart, Motorola.in, and leading retail stores across India.
The tablet went on sale in India on August 15 at 12 PM and is available exclusively in the PANTONE Sea Angel colour option.
Motorola is clearly positioning the moto pad 70 as a productivity-first 5G tablet rather than simply a large-screen entertainment device. The inclusion of the moto pen in the box is particularly useful at this price, while the 2.5K display, 5G connectivity, 8GB RAM, and 10,200mAh battery give it a fairly well-rounded specification sheet.
At an effective Rs 29,999, the combination of a 12.1-inch 2.5K panel, bundled stylus, 5G, and a large battery makes the moto pad 70 an interesting option for students and users looking for a portable work-and-entertainment device. The optional keyboard could further improve its productivity credentials, although buyers will need to factor in that additional accessory cost.
