A. O. Smith has launched the Z3 Onyx Black water purifier in India, positioning it as the country's first under-sink water purifier to offer antioxidant water. Priced at Rs 29,990 onwards, the new model combines an eight-stage RO and UV purification system with copper mineralisation, alkaline technology and a water recovery rate of up to 55%.
Designed to fit beneath kitchen counters, the Z3 aims to offer a space-saving alternative to conventional countertop water purifiers. Its under-sink design keeps the main unit out of sight while providing access to purified drinking water through the kitchen setup.
The purifier uses copper mineralisation and alkaline technology to replenish minerals in the water. It also features an eight-stage RO and UV purification system, along with a BPA-free design. According to the company, its water recovery rate of up to 55% is intended to reduce water wastage during the purification process.
The Z3 Onyx Black comes with a 6-litre storage tank and hydropneumatic tank technology, which allows access to stored purified water even during power cuts. It also features GlidePro wheels and a handle to simplify movement and maintenance.
Commenting on the launch, Parag Kulkarni, Senior Vice President – International and President of A. O. Smith India, said the product reflects the company’s focus on meeting consumer expectations around health, convenience and sustainability, while making water purification more convenient for modern kitchens.
The purifier is available through authorised local retailers and organised chain stores. A. O. Smith is offering a one-year comprehensive warranty covering the RO membrane, all filters and electrical components.
With the Z3, the company is expanding its water purification portfolio with an under-sink option that combines multi-stage filtration, mineralisation and water-saving features in a compact design. Its Rs 29,990 starting price places it in the premium segment of the residential water purifier market.
