If you are planning to buy a washing machine without stretching your budget, we have picked four deals that are currently available for under Rs 20,000. The list includes options from LG, Haier, Bosch and Samsung, with capacities ranging from 7kg to 8kg.
LG 7kg 5 Star Smart Inverter Fully Automatic Top Load Washing Machine
LG’s 7kg fully automatic top-load washing machine is currently listed at Rs 19,990, down from its MRP of Rs 27,490. It is aimed at households with three to four members and comes with Smart Inverter technology, which LG says can offer up to 36% energy savings.
The washing machine has a 5-star energy rating and a 740RPM spin speed. It also features LG’s TurboDrum technology, which uses the drum and pulsator moving in opposite directions to create a stronger water stream for cleaning clothes. There are eight wash programmes, including Normal, Quick Wash, Gentle, Strong, Pre-wash+Normal, Rinse+, Aqua Reserve and Tub Clean.
The machine uses a semi-stainless steel drum and comes with features such as automatic load sensing, which adjusts the wash, rinse and spin settings according to the weight of the clothes.
Haier 8kg 5 Star Fully Automatic Top Load Washing Machine
For buyers who want more capacity while staying comfortably below the Rs 20,000 mark, Haier’s 8kg top-load washing machine is currently available for Rs 17,990. The model has an MRP of Rs 29,000 and comes with a 5-star energy rating, making it one of the more affordable 8kg options in this list.
There are eight wash programmes, including Smart, Soak, Delicate, Quick, Rinse, Spin and Tub Dry. The washing machine also gets a fully stainless steel drum, auto water-level adjustment, fuzzy logic, child lock, voltage protection and auto restart.
Haier has equipped the washing machine with an Oceanus Wave Drum, which is designed to improve washing performance, along with a Magic Filter for better lint collection. It also supports near-zero water pressure, with the company stating that it can operate with an inlet pressure as low as 0.01MPa. The 700RPM motor can help with water extraction, while the machine offers an average cycle time of around 40 minutes for a typical load.

Which washing machine should you buy under Rs 20,000?
The best option depends largely on what you expect from the washing machine. The Haier 8kg model is worth considering if capacity is your priority, especially at Rs 17,990. Bosch’s 7kg model, meanwhile, offers a strong combination of wash programmes, practical features and a longer motor warranty. LG’s option could appeal to buyers looking for Smart Inverter technology and TurboDrum washing, while Samsung’s model brings EcoBubble and Digital Inverter technology to the segment.
Note: The final price can vary depending on the payment method and ongoing offers. Different bank and card offers may be available on each washing machine, so make sure to check the applicable discounts and payment offers before making the purchase.
