If entertainment is the priority, buying a phone under Rs 30,000 is no longer about simply finding the fastest processor. A good display and capable speakers can make a bigger difference when the phone is primarily being used for Netflix, YouTube, music, gaming and social media.
This festive sale has several options that fit that brief, with AMOLED displays, high refresh rates, stereo speakers and large batteries becoming increasingly common in this segment. From the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion to the Infinix Note Edge, here are five phones worth considering for entertainment under Rs 30,000.
Motorola Edge 70 Fusion

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is the most complete entertainment package of the five. At Rs 29,999, it combines a 6.8-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it well suited for everything from streaming movies to gaming. The panel also supports HDR10+, 10-bit colour and 100% DCI-P3 coverage, while Motorola claims up to 5,200 nits of peak brightness.
Audio is another reason it takes the top spot here. Motorola has included dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, giving the Edge 70 Fusion a more immersive setup for watching videos and listening to music without headphones. The 7,000mAh battery and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset complete the package. It isn't just a phone with a nice screen; there is enough battery capacity for long entertainment sessions as well.
At Rs 29,999, this is the phone I'd pick when the priority is getting a balanced display, audio and performance experience.
Infinix Note Edge

The Infinix Note Edge is arguably the most entertainment-focused phone of the lot. Its 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate, while the phone also packs a 6,500mAh battery.
But the real differentiator is audio. The Note Edge comes with JBL-tuned stereo speakers, which gives it a clear advantage over phones that rely on a single bottom-firing speaker. That makes a noticeable difference for YouTube, movies and music when you're not using earphones.
At Rs 25,999, the Note Edge is also considerably cheaper than the Motorola. If your definition of entertainment is primarily watching content and listening to music, this is one of the most interesting deals in the list.
OPPO K14 Plus 5G

The OPPO K14 Plus brings another strong combination of display and audio to the sub-Rs 30,000 segment. It features a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with support for up to a 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour and 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
OPPO has also given it dual stereo speakers with a high-volume mode and spatial audio, specifically positioning the phone for gaming and entertainment. The phone's 8,000mAh battery is another advantage for heavy users. At Rs 25,999 in the sale, the K14 Plus makes a strong case if you want a large AMOLED display and loud stereo audio without spending close to Rs 30,000.
realme P4 Power 5G

The realme P4 Power takes a slightly different approach. Its biggest attraction is the combination of a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an enormous 10,001mAh battery.
That battery makes the P4 Power particularly interesting for people who spend several hours a day watching videos or gaming. It also supports 80W charging, so the huge battery doesn't necessarily mean spending hours connected to a charger. Recent testing has also highlighted its exceptional endurance. There is one catch for entertainment, though: the P4 Power uses a single bottom-firing speaker.
So while its screen and battery are excellent for content consumption, it doesn't offer the same audio experience as the Motorola, Infinix or OPPO options. That's why it lands at number four rather than higher.
Samsung Galaxy A36 5G

The Galaxy A36 5G rounds out the list with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display running at 120Hz. Samsung also claims up to 1,200 nits of brightness, which should make the screen easier to view outdoors.
It also supports stereo audio, giving it an advantage over single-speaker phones when watching videos without headphones. Samsung has paired this with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and a larger vapor chamber designed to help with sustained performance.
The A36 doesn't have the highest refresh rate or the biggest battery here, but it offers a familiar Samsung software experience, a good AMOLED panel and stereo audio at Rs 25,999.
Which One Should Entertainment-Focused Buyers Pick?
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is my overall pick because it gets almost everything right: a 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a capable chipset and a 7,000mAh battery.
If audio is particularly important, the Infinix Note Edge deserves serious attention thanks to its JBL-tuned stereo speakers and 1.5K AMOLED display at Rs 25,999. The OPPO K14 Plus is another strong option for movies and gaming, while the realme P4 Power is the obvious choice for someone who wants enormous battery endurance above everything else. The Galaxy A36 is the more conventional all-round entertainment option, especially for buyers who prefer Samsung's software experience.
For this particular use case, I wouldn't simply chase the phone with the fastest processor. A good AMOLED panel paired with proper stereo speakers can make a bigger difference to everyday entertainment, and that is where the Motorola, Infinix and OPPO phones stand out.
