Garmin Instinct 2 Solar Review

Shubham Raheja

Mighty Build

The Instinct 2 Solar TE is one of the most rugged tech products we have ever seen. The casing is comprised of a chemically enhanced fibre-reinforced polymer.

Tracking

We found the heart rate monitoring to be quite accurate. The step counting was also precise. However, the altitude tracking was inaccurate.

Performance

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 SoC, which isn't awful, but there are plenty of other alternatives available for a phone at this budget.

Charging

The watch's front panel serves as a light-absorbing surface that can also be used to charge it. To get the best results, you'll need to keep the watch pointing up towards the Sun.

Battery

We were able to get it to last approximately 18 days, which is still a long time considering we never took the watch off our my wrist.

Verdict

Although the price tag of Rs. 51,990 would bring a tear to your eye, if you're an explorer by nature, the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar Tactical Edition incorporates practically every cutting edge technology that Garmin has to offer.
