The Coolpad Mega 5C is one of the three smartphones launched in India by the Chinese phone maker on December 20. In terms of specifications, the Mega 5C sits right between the Mega 5 and Mega 5M. As such, the 5C comes with a 5.45-inch LCD screen that only offers an HD+ resolution. The bezels on the top and bottom of the display certainly look odd considering this is a 2018 device.

Quad-Core Chipset Running Android Oreo

The processing capabilities of the Coolpad Mega 5C are limited to the 1.3GHz quad-core chipset the Chinese phone maker has loaded onto it. This has been paired with 1GB of RAM. As for the storage, you will find 16GB onboard, with the ability to add up to 32GB more using a microSD card. This card slot is dedicated, meaning you won't have to sacrifice one of the two SIM cards that can be added to this phone. As for software, lightweight version of Android 8.0 Oreo has been loaded on this smartphone.

Face Unlock Capable Camera, Average Sized Battery

The rear camera on the Coolpad Mega 5C is a 5MP sensor. A similar 5MP sensor has been provided at the front for selfies. Considering this is a budget phone, it isn't surprising that a fingerprint scanner is absent from it. However, Coolpad has provided face unlock capabilities on this phone. Keeping this entire package up and running is a 2,500mAh battery. Charging is handled over the included micro USB port.
