Huawei Nova 5

In terms of aesthetics, the Huawei Nova 5 looks a lot like the OnePlus 7 Pro. It has a full-screen display with thin-bezels. To do away with a notch, Huawei has opted for a motorized pop-up selfie camera. The phone features a reflective gradient finish, which is vogue these days. For display, Huawei has gone with an AMOLED screen known for its deep blacks and vibrant colors. The handset sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ panel protected by Corning's Gorilla glass. With the pixel density of over 400 ppi, the Nova's screen is quite sharp in its class.

Huawei is one of the few brands to develop its own processors. The Nova 5 is powered by its in-house HiSilicon Kirin 980 chip. It is the same chipset that provides processing muscle to Huawei's flagship handset P30 Pro. This 7 nm chip houses two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and another couple running at 1.92. It also has four power-efficient 1.8 GHz Cortex A55 cores. The phone comes with 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB internal storage. You cannot expand it further as the phone lacks a storage expansion slot. Moving onto the photography department, Nova 5 offers a triple camera setup. It comes in a 48 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP configuration. To please the selfie aficionados, the device packs in a 32 MP front shooter.

The Huawei Nova 5 comes with 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging support. For charging and data transfer, the phone relies on a type C USB port. The Nova 5 is a dual SIM handset with support for 4G VoLTE bands. The phone covers connectivity essentials such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. The Nova 5 runs Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box with Huawei's EMUI customization on top.
